I read the instructions at least 4 times before I did anything. This is not like me but I knew if I busted the tube I was done. One I understood the tube assembly I used a little Vaseline to get the pieces on each end of the tube. I inserted the tube and hand tighten as instructed. I did nothing with the UV bulb at that point. I went to the basement and installed the system using SharkBite and pecs tubing. I then turned to water on. No leaks. I then installed the bulb. Very confusing as to which prongs go into which socket. I tried one way and then put power to the light. If lit up so it may not make any difference which pin goes in which socket. Also, make sure the unit is high enough the ground to get the light into the tube. So, installation is easy if you follow the steps. I spent less than an hour on the install.

Very satisfied with this purchase. Bought this product because of using well water. When I received the UV light kit, I found nothing was missing or broken. When I tested the UV light bulbs using a power strip for electronics and the included ballast, two bulbs where okay but one would not light. I e-mailed the seller EZbuy 365 of the results and they instantly sent a new bulb to me. I tested the new UV bulb which lit up okay. EZbuy is a great seller to work with. I placed the quartz tube into the UV reactor chamber and coated the O-rings with petroleum jelly and placed them on the ends of the quartz tube. Then I put on the end caps and hand tightened them. I mounted the UV reactor tube vertically, luckily the water inlet and outlet ports were 3/4 " and not 1 " as some are. I placed a whole house filter ahead of the UV light assembly. I used 3/4 " Plex lines for connections. The light will shine into the Plex lines which will allow me to see if the UV bulb is still working. I used SharkBite 3/4" * 3/4" FNPT female swivel adapters (#818274) on the water inlet and outlet ports without the need of Teflon tape or pipe dope. When I turned the water on, I had no leaks. Working perfectly. This was a good purchase from a great seller.

We purchased this light, had it installed and the transformer didn't work. We called customer service and they sent a replacement out fast. Got the part in 3 days, plugged it in. Works great.

This product may do the job. I don't know yet because it was missing a few pieces so I couldn't install it. I was also disappointed. It says that these are made by a small business and talks about the small businesses in the United States. So I thought I was buying American made products. But when I received the package it had a Chinese name on it. So it is NOT American made. Hopefully the replacement will have all of the parts so I can successfully install it. As it is I had to pay a plumber for a visit for nothing and will have to pay him again once I get the replacement and verify all of the parts are included before I have the plumber return again.

I have spring water flowing into a 1700 gal tank and then pump to the house. I leased the house out last year and wanted to test the water. Report came back with Coliform to high to pass the county requirements. I did my research and ordered the Ultraviolet Whole House Water Purifier. It was very reasonable and easy to install. I installed it last year and retested the water. Report came back with "Absent of Coliform". I is still woking fine and have had no problems. Came with extra bulbs but still using the first one. Great Product.

I have installed the 55w whole house UV unit and have now gone through 3 transformers. I am frustrated that the customer service rep. keeps telling me the problem is that it is not a dedicated line. The rep sent out a third transformer and said usually only one in 100 are bad transformersve After the first 2 I had an electrician check the original line. The electrician says there is nothing wrong with the line or outlet. I had the electrician run another dedicated circuit. All again checked out good. We then Plugged in the third transformer and it also immediately began smoking. Turns on showing green light, in a few seconds it turns orange then red and the light goes out. The transformer smells like burnt wire. $500 dollars later the unit still burns out in 10 seconds. These transformers are of very poor quality. they look and feel cheep Please do not buy this product save the frustration and money. Thanks to Amazon they are accepting a return from a third party vendor. Thank you Amazon. My heros

i am a professional plumber. i have installed a few different brands of these uv systems. this unit is half the cost of others, and decent quality. replacement parts available at reasonable prices. the only thing is the plastic mounting brackets are flimsy crap. need to beef them up, or use something else to secure it well.

No idea what the other comments are crying about, just slid the orings on the tube and screwed everything together hand tight, didn't even read the instructions, hooked it up horizontally with included mounts, no leaks, and the mounts hold it fine despite other reviews saying they weren't strong enough, it's been about 2 months in service now and still no leaks or issues.
