  • Extremely efficient
Pattern Name: Sprayer
I was surprised that I could cover so many square feet with just a single fill. My cheap backpack sprayer would need three to four gallons to cover the front yard, this sprayer did with just over a single gallon. I bought this unit because I wanted a Makita sprayer that used the LXT battery system. So far, every makita LXT product I have bought has really been of high quality and works well. The weight is perfect too. I use this sprayer to put down pre emergents, insect control and weed killers. Im not a pro, but I feel like when I am using it. It’s easy to use and even the battery from my makita drill is enough to power it, which is a 2AH battery. Definitely worth the $. ... show more

  • Awesome!
Pattern Name: Sprayer
We’re not using it as a chemical sprayer though I’m sure it works very well in that capacity. We’re using it as a plain water sprayer for plants and bio substrate for rat cages and it just works perfectly for that. Saves a lot of pumping / hand squeezing effort if you have a lot of water (chemicals) to spray. I could see it also working well to spray cleaning solution for someone who needs to spray a lot of that. ... show more

  • It works well, BUT
Pattern Name: Sprayer
Easy to fill and use, BUT as others have noticed, it continues to dribble a considerable amount of fluid when you release the spray handle. This causes a bit of collateral damage to things you don't intend to spray. I don't know if there is a way to stop the drippage.

  • Everything you could ask for from Makita
Pattern Name: Sprayer
I would love to say that I am surprised by the quality and performance of this sprayer. It is great, but that is exactly what I expect from Makita tools. The capacity, ground coverage, and ease of use are perfect for my needs (and I have a lot of area to spray). It is my 5th Makita yard tool and 7th overall and I am as thrilled with this one as I am with all the others. ... show more

  • Slam dunk if you are on team Blue
Pattern Name: Sprayer
After fighting with many leaky and weak pump garden sprayers I took the gamble and purchased with no reviews. This has the perfect blend of small size, output pressure and volume. It can spray 1 gallon at least 5 times faster than any pump sprayer I've used. I sprayed my front lawn (2500sqft) in less than 10 minutes. I like to keep a brisk pace and there is no disappointment here. A 2ah battery still showed a full charge after 2 gallons and zero leaking. Like all my Makita purchases, this exceeds expectation. I have batteries that date back to 2011, old brushed drills that I've had smoking, dropped off roofs etc... These products refuse to quit! 100% team blue! ... show more

  • What's wrong with you Makita?
Pattern Name: Sprayer
Utter trash. Pick up hose doesn't reach the bottom, leaves quarter gallon in tank, doesn't matter because the motor doesn't have the energy to push water out the nozzle with any pressure, yes , my battery is fine. I added a short length of hose to get to the bottom, doesn't matter because the pump still won't push water out the nozzle. It dribbles out sometimes, then nothing. The motor runs constantly instead of just when you pull the trigger, speaking of the trigger, how about a full or semi-pistol grip handle, the straight handled wand is anti-ergonomic, fatiguing after a short while. The wand storage is also garbage, doesn't hold once "clicked in" to the holder. It's very obvious that no one at Makita has tried using this POS. I want my money back. ... show more

  • Bad Gasket Material
Pattern Name: Sprayer
I really like the sprayer as I do all my Makita Tools. However, I feel the gasket material Makita used is a design flaw that I think needs addressed by Makita Engineering, so I can't give it 5 Stars! After about a dozen uses with only spraying weed killer, the gasket swells to the point it will not stay attached to the sprayer. I called service and support and they said they have not seen or heard of this issue before and to take it to a service center. New gaskets are about $6.00 each in which I've ordered 2 spares. Just installed a New one and it fit like it should. Just wondering if anyone else is having this issue and if so, what solution did you come up with other than installing a new gasket. Also included a photo of a new gasket installed. ... show more
