  • Best worklight yet
If you have Makita 12V tools, you need this light. It stands up with the battery as a base or it can hang from a swivel hook. There are three settings. All lights bright, Forward light bright (so you aren't staring into the light) and flashlight from the top. The USB recharger is very clever. I have a few other work lights, but this has replaced them as my go-to work light. Great design! ... show more

  • Recommend.
My son asked me to buy this item for him from Amazon. He used it at work, as he works nights as an Airframe and Powerplant commercial jet mechanic. He was satisfied with it and used it at work. Thanks.

  • ML104. The do it all work light from Makita, with a hidden feature!
My favorite work light from any manufacturer. It's a spot light, flood light, and lantern all in one. I keep this in my 12v kit, which goes with me everyday, and its capable of meeting 90% of my lighting needs. Lots of metal attachment points all over, including a hook on top. The durability seems good. I work in construction and have subjected it to water and dust with no problem, however I wouldn't submerge it. Runtime is OK. I get about 2.5 hours on lantern mode with a 2.0ah, more than enough time to charge another battery for uninterrupted use. Brightness is good in all modes. Flood and lantern modes are bright, but I've used brighter spot lights before. The USB port works like you'd expect, nice to have as a backup. The main feature that sets this apart is the threaded insert in the handle. Makita offers a magnet attachment (Part # A-61684), but doesn't sell it in the states, which is a huge disappointment. I purchased the attachment online, and had it shipped from Japan. However the big deal is that the threaded insert is the same pattern as a camera mount. This gives the light massive versatility in mounting. I personally mount the light to a tripod, allowing me to focus the spot light on my work. Be aware that the thread is set a little over 1/8" into the handle, so proceed accordingly. I'd highly recommend this light if you need an all in one solution, while not taking up a lot of space. Usual Makita quality and ingenuity make this a great option. ... show more
