Description

The Makita 10” Dual-Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw with Laser and Stand (model LS1019LX) combines capacity, accuracy and efficient dust extraction in a more compact size, with a unique 2-Steel Rail Sliding System that offers a reduced footprint for operation flush against a wall. The innovative direct- drive gearbox and guard system is engineered for increased vertical cutting capacity of baseboard (5-1/4”) and crown molding (6-5/8” nested), the largest in its class. It will also crosscut a 4x12 at 90 degrees. The saw miters 0° to 60° left and right, with positive stops at 0°, 15°, 22.5°, 31.6°, 45° and 60° (left or right). The bevel lock is located in the front of the saw for easy access and quick adjustments from 0° to 48° (left and right). The saw is powered by a 15 AMP direct drive motor with soft start, a key point of difference. Direct drive enables smoother start-ups and consistent, constant power with no belts to slip or replace. The electric brake provides added convenience. In addition, the electronic speed control maintains constant speed under load for smoother, higher-quality cutting. Additional features include a high-quality 60T carbide-tipped blade, with a see-through blade guard system for greater visibility of the blade and line-of-cut. The built-in laser indicates the line-of-cut whether the blade is turning or not, and offers micro-adjustments for precise “left-of-blade” or “right-of-blade” cutting. For improved dust extraction it has an improved dust collection capability for use with a bag (included) or vacuum (sold separately). It also has a large-sized aluminum base that improves the stability of cutting stock for more efficient cutting. Model LS1019X is a kit and includes a 33.7 lbs. durable compact folding stand with transport wheels and a side handle for easier job site portability.

    • Always Makita but not this stand
Makita and only Makita for compound chop saws and miters, but not this stand. Too flimsy when rolling and the wheels are hard plastic. Unbelievable bad design on this saw stand but the saw rocks and is accurate and reliable.

    • Sent me a used tool
Box arrived damaged and previously opened. When I opened the box the tool was just thrown in there with no other Packaging and sawdust all over it. Total lack of quality control!

    • Mixed feelings about a great saw
The saw itself is great. The packaging was a joke and Makita's customer service not much better. There is one, flimsy piece of cardboard that holds the saw in place so mine arrived somehow with the saw rotated nearly upside down in the box. This resulted in a hole in the box in which 2 of the accessories fell out as well as the elbow of the dust collector hose attachment getting smashed. MAkita's response was send it back to amazon...um hello nearly 100 pounds of saw and seaprate stand and I am not sending back for small accessories. They agreed to send the handle that attaches to the front for the miter adjustment, but over a month and still no handle. I purchased the elbow from a 3rd party. I called today because the first time using the stand and the cheap weld broken on the handle that adjust the roller support. Makita's response was to ship it back to Amazon. I refused and they told me to take it 20 miles away a repair facility which I also refused and they agreed to send a replacement part. The metal used on the base of the saw that attaches to the support for the stand is flimsy, i barely tightened the saw down to it and it began to crack. Overall after spending nearly $700 I am pretty disappointed with a few issues and Makita's inability to try and help. They have some wonderful tools, but not sure I will give them my money again on a bigger purchase. ... show more

    • Stand needs work
I went down to a smaller 10” blade on this. Still weighs a tonne. Whatever. All good. Its a nice saw. The stand, however, is not great. The part that attaches the saw to the stand has plastic gromets that lock into the stand rails. They lasted a week. Flimsy. Cheap. No good. Now ive a stand that wont hold a saw. ... show more
