  • Expensive, but a very good blade
This is a very good blade and it will last a long time if you use it properly. Don't cut too fast or slow (listen to the RPMs); don't cut anything but carbon steel; don't use any sort of lubricant; don't bounce the entry into your cut; don't cut a lot of stuff that is thicker than 1/4" (occasional is ok, but keep it below 1/8 on avg). If you do this, you'll have a long lasting blade. Also, this blade can be resharpened if you don't chip any of the teeth (see above). You can get years out of it if you play by the rules. ... show more

  • Great Blade
This blade works great. It cuts straight and clean with no burs left on your work. Cuts way faster than abrasive blades, and without the dust or sparks. But one of the best features is that the blade wont heat up the metal, you can touch the cut rite after cutting, it stays cold. It also doesn't get smaller with every use like abrasive blades do. Just remember, only cut MILD STEEL, or other soft metals, NOT stainless steel, spring steel, or hardened steel. If you do, it will ruin it very fast. But as long as you are careful with it you will love it. ... show more

  • Works well but expensive
I tried to save some money and bought a few knockoffs, but you get what you pay for. The Makita blade cuts well and lasts several months but you pay for that.

  • Not worth the price
Purchased to cut steel deck framing material. 16 gauge galvanized steel tube. Blade cuts accurately but was only good for 17 cuts with first blade and 5 cuts with second. Definitely will not purchase more and would not recommend for this application. Not a good value at $100.

  • A champion
I am a designer and a fabricator. My Makita cold chop saw and it’s blade are champions. Cuts smoothly and clearly with v little heat. Robust and long lasting. Maybe a tad expensive but super worthwhile

  • Great blade!
I have the Makita 12" metal chop saw and it is the best saw on the market for metal. I have used several of the others which "grind" more than they "cut". The saw is fantastic and the Makita blade lasts a long time and cuts perfectly. My original blade lasted almost a year with weekly use and countless cuts. ... show more

  • Awesome Blade
I have a metal fabrication business and use alot of square tubing. (1/2" to 3") I have literally made THOUSANDS of cuts and the blade is still cutting great. I will get it sharpened soon.
