The 7x magnifying gooseneck mirror is a fabulous product. I love love love this mirror! First, the magnification is perfect. 5x is not strong enough and 10x shows your face at the molecular level. lol With 7x, you see from forehead to lips and the sides of your face. Perfect for applying makeup. You can see fine hairs for plucking or shaving with 7x. You will see things you've never seen before which can be unsettling. I would rather know. However, I know people who refuse to use one. I'm 50ish and wear progressive glasses with astigmatism. I would like to tell those who understand what that means, that I can see in perfect focus at about 6 inches from the mirror. Distance is important! Too far and it's blurry or too close as well. About 6" brings everything into perfect focus. Second, the square size is nice and big so you can almost see your whole face. Third, the fact that it's hands free makes it priceless! Fourth, the suction apparatus is more than adequate to hold the mirror for years. 5th, it's fully adjustable. The gooseneck comes in a small circle and you uncurl it. If you notice my pictures, I have it set up for a 5'3" person but you can adjust it to your liking. I bought one of these about 3 years ago and can't live with out it. I left it when I went out of town. Yes, I pack it and take it. Panicked when I got home and rushed to my Amazon app. Looked it up and it was still for sale. Got overnight delivery which was included for Prime. Now I'm ecstatic and I had to write a review. I want to recommend this mirror very highly. Mine has been attached to my mirror without falling for years. I almost forgot. It has a light. I don't use it. It's too bright for my liking and I have a lot of light in my bathroom so I don't need it. Neat feature if you like a light though. Thank you for reading my book. I wish every product had at least a few very detailed reviews. It can make all the difference in the world as to whether I purchase or not. Thank you to those who review. Great mirror - poor design
I had high hopes? But the suction is insufficient for the weight and balance of the gooseneck and mirror. It stayed on the wall for about six months. Since then it falls off every 2-4 wks. It’s unfortunate because as use the mirror’s magnification is great. They just went cheap on the base. You can’t have a 2” circle with a small suction cup holding up a mirror no less than 3x its size. Even silicone glue doesn’t help. ... show more

An all around great item

The quality of the mirror is just fine. The amount of space I can see of my face in this 7x is all of it when standing within 4 or 5 inches of it approximately. It gives good clarity but if your eyes are more than the average bad, you'll need a stronger magnification. However, I still get just the right amount of magnification for applying my makeup even though my eyes are more than average bad and still enough magnification for some troublesome areas....(ladies you know what I mean). The tiny hard to see troublesome areas though (finer details) do not work for me with this mirror. I put the suction cup onto the glass dry without using water because I read where one customer's review said to do so and so I did the same and had no problem with the suction. It was easy to put on the glass and I did have to remove it from it more than once to get it in the right spot for me. It keep mine fully extended out because I did not want to damage the metal hose over time. I still think it looks attractive enough and I'm sure company may appreciate it even though they may not tell me. In the photo I have the metal arm sticking out at 13 inches and my counter top from the wall sticks out 19.25 inches. I barely feel like I have to more forward to look in the mirror since I can see my face within appproximately 4 to 5 inches from the mirror. I did not give a star rating on how I feel this mirror would be for travel since I do not travel. The batteries seem to be not draining of energy yet. I've used it about 5 times, so I think that is a good sign. I figure if the batteries drain too fast I'll get recharge batteries since I could use some anyway. LOVE this close mirror. Buy it!
Love it! Don't hesitate to buy this Sunplus Trade Led Mag Mirror. It is exactly as described. Arrived in great condition and on time. Instructions are included. Very simple install onto your mirror. It has a lock and unlock position that attaches to the mirror by suction. I cleaned my mirror with W window cleaner and dried. Best to use rubbing alcohol on the area that you going to attach the suction cup too. I did this and the suction is strong. The telescoping cord is ridged and supportive. I bent my telescoping cord into position close to where I wanted it before attaching. The mirror itself is clear and the 7 mag is perfect for close application. The mirror also rotates separately from the cord for precise angling. The batteries install in the back of mirror securely. The on and off switch is on the back for the light and easy to push on and off. The light is not real strong but it does give you a different kind of glow on your face. I think the light is best to look at face foundation the best. I love this mirror! I can see So well to pluck the old eyebrows and mustache hairs. I even found a nose hair that I had never seen before. And as described it gets the mirror close to you. No bending in to get close to the big mirror again. I wish I would have had this years ago. Great purchase. I am buying a few more for Christmas gifts for the gals I know that really love this mirror too. ... show more

Suction cup didn't work for me either, otherwise good
Update: I'm updating this from 2 to 3 stars after using it for several months. Although everything I previously said was true (it won't stick on my mirror), I have adapted to using it while it lies on my dresser. The flexible gooseneck works well to position it as I wish. If you can use it this way, it's a great mirror with good magnification, shape, size, lighting. Original review: I read the reviews before purchasing and knew many people have trouble with the mirror falling down. However, enough didn't have trouble that I decided to buy it. Unfortunately, although I read all the directions carefully and looked at all the diagrams and tips, it fell down after about 15 minutes. After that I couldn't get it to stay up for more than a few seconds. I do like everything else about it, so I'm giving it 2 stars even though I can't really recommend it. The magnification is good. The size and shape are good. I like that it takes just regular batteries. I tried to use it holding it in one hand, but that didn't work well. I finally decided to lay it down on its size on my dresser and use it while sitting on the bed next to the dresser. It's not a great location for it, but it works. Just what I needed
I am really impressed by this mirror. It magnifies the right amount especially for these old eyes. I love how it mounts to my regular mirror leaving bothe hands free. Great little product!

Love this mirror
I love this mirror. I love that I don’t have to bend over to use it. I have it up high on my large bathroom wall so that I just have to walk right up to it. And the magnification is perfect for my eyes. I use it for applying makeup and tweezing and feel like it was worth every penny. The long arm does sag a bit, so make sure you allow for that when you stick it to your space. ... show more
