  • Best!!
Took me awhile to write a review but I waited because I had surgery and couldn't work out and I wanted my husband to be able to get some use. Plus we made ao.e modifications and I wanted to include that for ideas for others. First off the black friday price was fantastic. I ordered this a few days before black friday because it was a great sale but then the price dropped even more. I reached out and they had no problem giving me a price adjustment seeing that I juat purchased. So props to that. This rack is solid!. We didn't know what to expect never having had one. Its 2x2 and thicker and stronger then we thought. I camt even imagine what 3x3 is. We never put one together before so considering, it went pretty smooth. Several hours and a couple of mistakes but overall it wasn't bad. The pully system is wonderful and smooth. The ability to add plates its great. I dont know if I'll get that strong but its there LOL. I have used my 5lb plates and my 2.5 lb min plates. It helps because stacks are 10lb jumps after the first 10lb (thats 5 and 5 separately). So here are the things we modified...1. the plate holders. We didn't put on back because we needed to be close to wall. We have 1 car garage and we use it. So we put holders on the side. Plates fit fine. However, we didnt like the loss of space there either because we needed to hang other stuff. So we bought a wall one. I posted pics. We may take them off the sides but for now we are feeling it out. I put all our bands stored on one side. 2...my husband made a step to step on fir extra height doing deadlifts on smith machine. So he winded up making a cut out to use the same wood flipped on its side to give extra length on floor when rowing. Fits right over. 3... the mist important modification....the smith bar being to low when not in use. We knew it would be this way but boy we hated it. I hit my head several times forgetting. So we did some research and found someone who did a DIY and we created something from there. We used 2 of the rack cubes for band exercises. We probably won't use that much but you can see in the pictures. Its working out FANTASTIC and super easy. 4...we bought an after market seat. I had my husband put it on and ju.p on for picture to show. It works great with major fitness rack so I'm happy. 5....the stickers for the plates were terrible. They didn't stay on. I used paint pen to write numbers on. 6...the Major fitness sign is a little cheesy. We thought it was more solid or metal but it was juat a banner. Its slumps so we are gonna glue it to a piece of thin wood and mount. The more expensive systems probably have better sign.7....1:1 ration ia great. 7....we added a bar holder to the rack dor olympic barbell ao that worked out! Just used a velcro stap to hold it out of the way. I think thats it but I remember anything I'll update. Overall this is fantastic for the price especially for first time rack user. Hopefully a leg press attachment will become available if not already because I dont remember lol. ... show more

  • I should have bought it sooner!
I’ve been training at home for a while and this Major Fitness Drone2 Advanced Training Smith Machine has completely elevated my setup. It’s finally a one-machine solution that replaces dozens of pieces without sacrificing quality. From the Smith bar to the cable crossover and LAT pulldown, everything feels well-constructed and smooth — the aluminum pulley system has a true 1:1 ratio and makes cable movements feel natural. The build quality is impressive for an Amazon-sold home gym unit. The commercial-grade steel and solid frame give real confidence under load, and the entire system feels stable even when hitting heavier lifts. I love how versatile this machine is — squats, presses, cable work, pull-downs, rows, shoulder work — you name it. It’s intuitive to switch between stations, and the multiple accessories open up a ton of training options. Assembly took some patience, but the instructions were clear and once it was together it just works — no wobbling or weird noises. If you’re building a garage or home gym and want a complete, reliable, multifunctional system, this is a fantastic choice. I’d absolutely buy it again! 💪 ⸻ Quick Pros & Cons ✅ Pros • Great all-in-one system for full-body workouts • Smooth pulley system and solid cable feel • Sturdy, stable frame with quality steel construction • Tons of exercise versatility with included accessories ⚠️ Cons • Assembly takes some time • Footprint is substantial — measure your space first ... show more

  • Great budget functional trainer!
Drone 2 Advanced Review — 8/10 Overall I installed the Drone 2 Advanced a couple of weeks ago, and overall, I’d rate it an 8 out of 10. Here’s a breakdown of each component: Installation – 8/10 Installation was fairly straightforward but time-consuming. It took me about six hours using just a socket set—and I work in construction. Some of the instructions were a bit confusing, but nothing unmanageable. I highly recommend having a second person help, especially in the early steps where you’ll need to tighten bolts from underneath the equipment. Smith Bar – 8/10 This exceeded my expectations. It’s as smooth as a commercial gym Smith machine. That said, there are a couple of drawbacks: • Minor issue: When unracking the bar, it can catch on the rack or guide rod. You need to keep the tilt very precise, which can be tough when lifting heavy. • Moderate issue: The lowest point of the Smith bar sits too high—around 20” off the ground once you install the springs, bumpers, and safety arms. It’s too high for deadlifts unless you stand on a platform. Despite those quirks, I’m very satisfied with it. Pulleys – 9/10 I opted out of the weight stack to save money. The height adjustment knobs move smoothly, and the 1:1 ratio is great for heavy exercises. However: • It makes lighter movements like lateral raises a bit harder to manage (not a complaint, just an observation). • The bigger issue: The range of motion is limited. I’m 5’10” with an average wingspan, and I can’t get a full range for exercises like rear delt flys before the cable maxes out. Rack – 8/10 Overall, solid. Great for beginners to moderate lifters. If you’re lifting extremely heavy, you might want something more robust. A few notes: • Minor concern: Racking the barbell after heavy bench presses feels a little sketchy. • Design flaw: The weight storage pegs are on the back, so you need to leave at least a foot of clearance from the wall, which eats into home gym space. • The landmine attachment works well. • Pull-up handles are sturdy but could use some texture for better grip—they’re too smooth. Attachments – 3/10 Honestly, 3 might be generous. Most of the included attachments are pretty low quality. Thankfully, I had better ones from an older cable system. The safety arms, lat bar, and rope are decent. However, the dip bars, cable handles, and bar attachment are poorly designed or just not functional. ⸻ Final Thoughts I love the Drone 2 Advanced. For the price, it’s hard to beat. It lets me do almost everything I need, aside from leg extensions and leg curls. If you’re looking for an affordable all-in-one system, this is a solid choice. ... show more
