After months of research saving up, me and my wife finally decided to pull the trigger on the Drone 1 D1AW (cage only). Let me tell you, we are not disappointed. Upon arrival, we were very impressed by the packaging efforts made to keep the product safe during shipping. The assembly instructions were very easy to read, and assembly only took me about an hour. The D1AW came with weights for the power cable system that are very nice and the cabling system is extremely smooth. My wife loves the versatility of the rack that allows for any type of workout. It was a nice surprise that the power rack came with the accessories for the power cable system, including a wide and short bar, a rope, and two hand surrups. The power cage itself is very stable and made of quality materials. We most definitely feel that the product is worth every penny and are glad that we went with Major Fitness over some of the other brands we were looking at. We did have one component that was minorly damaged during shipping. I reached out to Major Fitness regarding the issue, and my customer service representative, Ray, responded back to me quickly and worked with me to resolve the issue in a timely manner. So, in addition to a very nice rack, we also received excellent customer service. All and all, if you are looking for a quality, versatile power rack for your garage or home gym, I highly recommend the Drone 1.

Apparently this is an Amazon exclusive item and the tubes are smaller (i.e. 2x2) so if you try to buy any attachments from Major Fitness they will not fit. As a beginner, I had no idea what the difference is with the different tube sizes. Buy at your own risk and do your research as it will cost an arm and a leg to return.

I bought the rack with the weight stack. This is an excellent rack and a great value. It is a real job to assemble. I used a cordless drill and a carpenter’s pouch for the nuts, bolts and washers and it took me about 4 hours. The directions were pretty straightforward, except for routing the cables, but the video is good. As for using the rack; it is very solid and sturdy. The only issue I have is the stack is slow to return when extended way out with light weight, like 10 or 15 pounds, for an exercise like cable kick backs, especially if you load it asymmetrically. Not a big issue but a small annoyance. Some have complained about the space between the cables and the loading horns on the stack being too small. I would disagree, seems like plenty of space.

I got it with the weight stack. If you're like me and not a Pro then this can handle anything you throw at it. It's stable enough, you don't need a 3x3 11 gauge steel rack unless you're training for the Olympics. I like the 2:1 pulley ratio, more flexibility - and can add more plates to the weight stack when I need it. I'm 5'7" the pull-up bar is just tall enough for me to fully hang, so if you're taller and pull-ups are important prepare to bend your knees. I did add some Thunder Tape cloth tape to the pull-up bar since there's no knurling.
