Amazing value for the price. I purchased this on Amazon Day for $1500, and the quality easily approaches what I saw from other companies at a $3000 price point. The cable pulleys are all aluminum, and are extremely smooth. Assembly was time-consuming (about 8 hours for me working solo), but was very straight-forward. Directions were very simple. Weight stacks are cement, which isn't as great as steel, but they glide perfectly: no sticking at all. To me, that is more important than their material makeup. I did take extra time during assembly to ensure that everything was aligned properly. Attention to detail and a rubber mallet to tap things into best alignment made a big difference. The selectable 2:1 vs. 1:1 pulley ratios is a great feature not seen on other machines at this price point. Included accessories are a straight bar, two J-hooks, two spotter arms, a lat pulldown bar, two stirrup handles, foot plate for rows, landmine and V-bar for the landmine. They are decent quality thought the plastic handles on the straight bar tend to slip off while doing heavy lifts. Minor disappointment that a tricep rope or ankle straps weren't included. Pull-up bar is super sturdy, and the included barbell for the Smith machine has great handle knurling for grip/safety. Smith machine is super-smooth with no catching. So happy with this, and it works amazing. It’s a night and day comparison to my old equipment, so this was a much needed upgrade. The quality is great, and putting it together really didn’t take long, the hardest part was dragging all of the boxes to the basement. I would definitely recommend using power tools to just speed up the building process, and obviously it’s heavy, so it wouldn’t hurt to have someone else to help you out. But over all I am very happy with my purchase and it works amazingly. The possibilities and workouts are endless with this machine. ... show more

Absolutely amazing, with everything it can do it is worth more than the price. It was easy to assemble though it did take 5+ hours, I managed to put most of it together myself with help holding things in place. The weight stacks was the most difficult. Everything on it is solid.

Great machine, assembly went fine, no issues. I had two minor problems that I solved. Support was responsive and helpful when I reached out to them. Minor issue 1: The weight stack guide pin/weight pin anchor was off angle and striking the top weight when lowering the cables. All I had to do was reverse the order of the two screws that hold it in place. There's a top and bottom screw point. E.g. I originally installed the top screw from the left and the bottom from the right. I just reversed it and resolved the issue on both sides. Issue 2: The smith bar was curiously tracking at a slight angle, about 1-2º. I didn't notice it until I was striking the bar safety springs and the imbalance was awkwardly tossing the bar since the right was hitting early. It was a subtle misalignment. The floor is level, machine is level, bar is level when locked in place. I flipped the bar, hooks, vertical track bars, linear bearings, and the problem was the same. The left side was moving ~2" before the right side would move at all. Right side movement immediately moved the left, no hesitation. Also the bar was drooping to the right, enough it became noticeable. Support was great, I kept thinking about it over a long weekend camping and had an idea. I inserted a 1.6mm thick washer into the topmost bolt that connects the left side of the bar to the linear bearing slider, I left the bottom-most bolt alone. The idea was to change angular tension in the slider to prevent the right from drooping immediately. This completely resolved the issue, I was blown away. All with a $0.20 washer. The overall impact of that single washer can't be overstated. I tried to work out the math, with the bolt spacing 3.5", I think it's somewhere along the lines of degrees(atan(1.6 / (3.5 * 25.4))) = 1.03 degrees. Which is roughly the angle I was observing. The leverage ratio between the vertical bar and the bolt spacing is about 24x. All in all I've loved having this machine the past month. ... show more

I can't really emphasize enough how great this machine has been for my family and I. The pulley system is smooth, the weight stack is plenty with room to add more weight if needed, the attachments included are fantastic and the entire machine is stable. I did hire someone to build it and it ended up taking him a little over 8 hours. He mentioned the instructions were confusing and not exact. If you're in the market for a functional trainer and a smith machine do yourself a favor and het this one. The pulley system is great but do plan on hiring someone or anticipate a long day. ... show more

We bought this for our home gym and wanted a little bit of everything. This is a great bang for your buck assembly was just okay. The operation of the police is smooth, however the smith machine isn’t as smooth. I feel like the Smith machine tugs down. Worth. Every. Penny. The option to switch from 1:2 and 1:1 independently on BOTH sides of the machine is a feature I’ve only found on this machine, and it’s worth its weight in gold. Solid quality and Major Fitness’ customer service has been helpful, albeit slow, when trouble a couple minor issues I had. Can’t say enough great things about this machine though! The only complaint I have is that Major Fitness offers very little support/attachments/upgrades for their 2x2 machines - all add ons must be purchased from 3rd parties.
