we have hardly had to use the functions on these collars .. the dogs have learned when they see the controller they are being watched lol they will come over and touch the controller with their nose (not taught) and wag their tails to let me know they are aware that it is on. Just be careful and dont let your grandchildren get ahold of the controller .. they have a tendency to want to see what happens when it is turned all the way up and shock the dog .. let me tell you .. he got into some severe trouble. So that everyone (including the adults) understood what the collar felt like when being used, we each were buzzed and shocked on each of the settings. I think he learned his lesson. And so did we all.. I highly recommend if you have children you let everyone in the household feel the effects of this collar, so you will know how high you trully intend to go with the shock .. it is eye opening to say the least. After all this is on their neck .. we tried on our leg .. and the grandson decided he didnt want to try the highest setting that he had used on the dog. He now understands what he did to the dog. So please .. for the benefit and love of your animals .. get to know the collars abilities personally!

Our German Shepherd used to bark at everything all the time. Delivery people, neighbors, birds, other animals, visitors, everything. Now we have a very different dog all for the better. I only use the beep option and rarely the vibrate option and he is very obedient using only the beep when needed. I did not install the shock probes because I didn't want to do that and I don't need to do that thankfully. Dogs are smart and when I put the collar on him he is remarkably more obedient. I wouldn't hesitate to get this. I first got the bark collar that I returned because my 107 lb dog went nuts with that going off automatically and wanted to jump in my lap. I wanted the remote to be able to control myself. If the dog starts barking outside while I am in the house I just push the button and it works. Our lives are much better now including our dog.

This is the 3rd training collar I have purchased, but will be the last. I love that it is water resistant (make sure the charge port is sealed) as my girl loves jumping in the pool). The charge lasts a long time. The receiver is very durable. My problem with the previous ones I had purchased is that they were not the quality of this brand and therefore did not hold up to the level of play with my two crazy 4-legged kids. My only reason for the 4 start overall review is that one of the prongs worked itself loose and I have tried to no avail to contact the seller for a replacement of just the prongs and still have not figured out how to contact anyone to replace them.

Headline was just for something to write. You can turn shock up and they will do flips when zapped but i dogress. Collar is effective for intended purpose. There are 3 modes ( tone, vibrate and nuclear holocaust) and has intensity level option with a dial 1-10. Battery life seems a little short but sl far hasnt been a problem. Overall id give it a B+.

Pros: these are a good size for small dogs and not too bulky on their neck. The length is a little long, but I just tied them in a knot vs cutting them. The style of the remote works for me as it's easy and simple to operate the collars. I appreciate how there are only 10 levels vs others that advertise 100. It's a dial to adjust strength and a switch to flip back and forth and a seperate button for each of the functions. The standby time is about 2.5 weeks. I put these on during the day and take them off a bedtime and turn them off and the remote when not in use. The box on the collar also blinks green when activated so you can see your pup at night and can see when a signal was received. Cons: the collars do not always respond to commands. There is sometimes a delay before they start responding. The shock function doesn't seem to be consistent between the two collars. One collar seems stronger than the other on the shock or it could be that one of my pups has a higher tolerance for pain ? (I bought these for very aggressive dogs causing injury so don't judge). The vibration seems to work way better than the shock function and gets their attention. There is no lit screen in the remote at night that you can see what your are doing. One of the buckles on the collar broke that assists in sizing the collar but doesn't present any big issues. It just could have caused injury to my dog had I not caught it when I did. There were no teeth marks to indicate it was chewed and the collar was tight enough for that to not happen. Despite the issues I have on the delay, I would buy these collars again. I had purchased another collar and returned it because it was just too complicated to work. These collars are easy and have significantly helped me to improve the aggression in my pups and I'm hoping in time they will be responsible for eliminating the bad behavior all together.

I purchased a single and a double. 3 standard Poodles. The collars are great. Battery life is crazy long. The dogs wear them everyday remove them at bedtime. We went on a RV trip for 5 days and the controllers and collars still working. Easy to use. Love the lock position on the controller. Each dog has a number on the collar and controller so I know who gets a beep when needed. The shock # 1-15. I tried it on my forearm. #5 setting is plenty!!! to get there attention for the first couple of times. Now a beep is all that is needed.
