  • Flavorful medium roast
I roasted these beans in my air fryer at 390 F for almost 45 minutes checking them every few minutes to remove hulls from the air fryer, shake them, and check the color. I usually drink a dark roast strong coffee like French roast so after roasting the beans I tried them blended half and half with my usual French roast beans. The result was a fairly strong coffee with a nice flavor of the Ethiopian beans. The description is citrusy, floral and tea like. My husband and I both liked the flavor and I’ll continue to blend the two coffees. The price is higher than I’d usually spend on coffee beans so making a blend at home will allow us to enjoy the flavor and make the almost one pound bag last longer. It’s very interesting to read how this Ethiopian Arabica coffee is grown and harvested and gives you an idea why the price is higher than some other coffees. It would make a nice gift for your coffee loving friends. Recommend, ... show more

  • Nice
These seem like nice coffee beans, but my experience is very limited, having never purchased green beans before. They were pretty easy to roast up in my air fryer. Just turn the fryer on and shake the tray every few minutes. There is a good amount of dust and chaff which blows around during roasting, so I used a little hand vacuum designed for computers to keep the particles at bay. When it was all finished, I allowed the beans to cool overnight and ground them up to make a decent cup of coffee. For me this was an expensive novelty which I am not likely to repeat. I can get several pounds of very tasty, premium coffee which was roasted by experts for less. I am definitely no expert and for the price difference, I happy to leave the roasting business for people who buy in bulk and know what they are doing. ... show more

  • Great (overpriced) coffee
This coffee tastes great, but as other reviews have pondered, why is it so darn expensive? You are getting 1lb of unroasted green coffee beans. There is nothing special about these beans compared to similar products as far as I can tell. I would definitely recommend green coffee beans from Ethiopia that cares about sustainability, but consider buying them roasted already, and pay less as well. ... show more

  • very nice cup
As far as the green beans itself goes, it looked good on inspection. It is pretty pricey though for unroasted small bag of beans though. After roasting it in a prosumer level coffee roaster, it turned out pretty good, but the price of this unroasted green beans is a bit much.

  • way too wxpensive
These are nice beans, but there's really no way to justify this price. You can buy top quality recent harvest green Ethiopian beans from places like sweet maria's for a fraction of the price on a per pound basis, even after factoring in shipping. They have the expected properties of single-origin Ethiopian....but can't recommend them at this price. ... show more

  • Expensive excellent quality coffee beans
These are excellent quality green coffee beans. Some husks are still present and needs filtering. This is my first time roasting my coffee beans. I use the air fryer oven countertop to roast these coffee beans. Not able to get a consistent roast on all the coffee beans. I think using the conventional oven may be a matter choice or a coffee roaster machine. I use the super-automatic expresso machine to brew the coffee and love the aroma of these coffee beans. At the time of writing this review, this 434g of unroasted coffee beans is selling for $34.99. The price is expensive and I do not think I will purchase these again as I have to roast them! ... show more

  • Great way to get the best cup of coffee
I am a big coffee addict, when I tried roasting my own the way I like it and grind a brew it immediately after, not only the aroma of roasting filled the entire house, but the taste is absolutely heavenly. I am not sure I can go back to my way of making coffee, but I am glad I discovered a new way to enjoy my favorite drink. ... show more
