This board is perfect for your kid who wants to learn to skateboard. Especially if you are looking for one board to rule them all. My seven year old loves different skateboards for different types of riding and this little board is a great hybrid. It’s kind of a combo between a cruiser and and trick board because it has big smooth wheels that glide over chip and seal, curbs and bumps, but it's also small like a trick board and has tail fins on both sides for doing and learning tricks. He has four different types of skateboards and he consistently grabs this one over and over. Several of his little skating buddies have purchased this board after trying his. It’s my first board ever and has helped me get into skateboarding. I’ve used it to ride from parking to classrooms and around campus. First timers should definitely wear protection though because I’ve gotten both knees and elbows scratched and one sprained wrist in less than a month. Like the headline states, this is an amazing cruiser board, even for beginners. I read a lot about skateboard and boards and cruisers and dinghys and penny boards and what not, so its fair to say i made an educated guess towards my actual goal with a skateboard. First of all, this is the very first board i owned, i was inspired by some videos i saw on youtube and ive always had this itch to get on one and just have fun riding it and PERHAPS perform a couple of very easy tricks and what not, so i pushed myself to get one. I am delighted to express that this was an amazing idea, not only is it fun, but its really easy to learn how to ride one, of course, i advice you watch some videos prior to actually get on one, and maybe even try riding it on a carpet or on sidewalk cracks so you can get the idea of how the balance on it should feel. I rode it for 2 hours, but its safe to say that even with NO experience other than some youtube videos, i was able to ride around the park, correctly push the board, ride it and cruise it in a matter of 30 minutes, the other 1:30 hours were just having fun riding around in it. Cruiser boards are easier i guess, their shape and the wheels help a lot easing you into feeling safer than on a normal skateboard (i may get one once i get experienced enough on this one) So far it has been a delight, i did fall a couple of times, but nothing out of the ordinary. 10/10. ... show more

I purchased this board a few weeks ago and have enjoyed skating on it. As my first cruiser board, I was looking for something that wasn't going to break the bank, but was still good quality. Overall, I am very happy with the board so far and would recommend it for a beginner skateboarder or someone who's looking to get a decent cruiser for a good price. It's also very nice that a skate key is included. There are a few things I wish I knew when looking into what board to get, so I'll break down the components into further detail to hopefully help you in your purchase decision. Deck According to the manufacture website, the deck is made of 7-ply Canadian maple and has a stiff flex. Despite the specifications listed on the website, this deck is 28" long and has a 14.5" wheel base (distance in between the trucks). The thickest section of the board measures 7.75" wide, measures 6.5" at the wheels, and has a 6" kicktail. Being on the smaller side, this board is very portable. The board comes with a spray-on grip tape. I personally am not a fan of how this feels (or looks). It's too bumpy for my liking and you can feel the roughness through your shoes. I ended up sanding it down and applying a more traditional grip tape. This was very cheap and easy to do. Trucks The trucks are pretty decent on this board. They come with a 1/8" riser and medium stiffness bushings. These are adjustable to your liking. The trucks are on the taller side (around 55mm), so I have not experienced wheelbite at all on this board. The axle width measured in at 7.5" and the hanger measured at 125mm. The wheels do stick out a little bit because the deck is more narrow where the wheels are. Wheels and Bearings The wheels are about 62mm in diameter and 51mm wide. They have no problem moving over cracks or small rocks. They have a square shape, so they grip the ground well. I only have 2 complaints about these wheels. They all seem to be a slightly uneven, so they wobbly a little bit. Not a big deal when riding slower, but you start to feel a unstable when you pick up speed. Another thing is the bearings. They are very uneven (some spin for quite some time while others barely spin at all). You can probably apply some bearing grease to loosen them up, but I just replaced them and it made a big difference. One other note, the wheels did come with spacers, although mine only had 4 washers instead of 8. Not a huge deal, just keep the wheels slightly loose and its no problem. All in all, I am happy with this board. All the downsides I found are not deal breakers at all, and they have cheap and easy fixes if they are an issue for you. I would definitely recommend this board for anyone looking for a cruiser board under $100. I hope this review helped! Happy skating! ... show more

I never write reviews but I just HAD to! I’ve never skated in my life, I have experience snowboarding but they’re very different. But let me tell you, with one 5 min YouTube vid and THIS board, I was skating no problem on the first try! VERY BEGINNER FRIENDLY!!!
