The camera is magnetic and the magnet is **very** strong. There camera is adjustable for pitch. You need to hit the power button each time to turn it on. It takes between 4 and 6 seconds for the base unit to acquire signal from the camera. The view is great and adjustable. Super easy to set up and works incredibly well. It has a very long range between the camera and monitor. Image is very clear. One thing I love about it is that it stays on and doesn't turn off after a couple minutes so you can see what is behind you while traveling. The screen would be perfect if it was just a little bigger. I use it on a 35 ft travel trailer and this set up makes it so much easier to back into a space without anybody trying to help. It is so much better than the much more expensive one I replaced. Absolutely worth the price so far. We will see how long it lasts.

Pros: 1) This really helps with backing a trailer. Can be aimed down toward the ground or up higher if needed. 2) We even leave it on while driving and it helps with lane changes with the trailer. 3) Very easy and convenient installation. I got a plate on Amazon that fits into the hitch receiver on the back of the trailer and I put the magnetic camera on the plate. Can also put on the back of the truck if needed. We can remove the camera when not in use. 4) The image on the monitor is very clear- great resolution. Cons: 1) Monitor screen is small. It doesn’t block the view on windshield (good) but image is small. 2) When driving on the freeway the slight lag makes the image a little jumpy, but still useable. At slow speeds like backing up, it’s not noticeable. 3) The monitor cord monopolizes the only 12V outlet, so we can’t use it for other things. It would be better if it has a usb plug so we could use a splitter and still charge other items.

This is a game changer! I've towed a camper for 13 years now, and done so solo for the last 5. To be able to see out the back of it while driving and backing into campsites made so many routinely difficult things startlingly easy. Quick, easy lane changes without having to study road shadows in the side mirror or count vehicles until I'm sure there's no one hidden behind or beside me; backing right into a campsite without having to jump in and out of the truck 5 or 6 times to verify my surroundings. The visibility was clear and the camera functioned well even in rain. A drop or two on the lens blurred it slightly but it was still helpful, and once the rain dried it was clear as day again without being cleaned. My camper is aluminum and I was hesitant to trust the magnet, so for the first trip I mounted it to the bumper storage unit lid. I used a steel switch plate cover and a set of heavy duty magnets under the lid to hold the camera in place. Worked like a charm, and is easy to take on and off for storage and charging; I'll probably continue to use it that way rather than drill a mounting plate into the camper. I only drove 3 hours each way this time; battery life was barely diminished. They have a promotion happening now so I ended up getting a second camera which will allow me to trade them out if I have to do an all day drive some time. The mount for the monitor didn't stick to my dash or windshield, so I used elastic bands to hold it to the rearview mirror instead. That worked great and doesn't scratch the mirror. Nice unit that I bought for my RV that has no rear camera or window. I wanted the smaller monitor for the windshield to not crowd my dash camera and toll pass. Picture quality is very good. The rear camera works very well; the magnet is super strong. Included is a metal plate with screws to attach if you don't have a metal surface. I used the screws for a solid mount. The magnet is really strong, so now worries about the unit falling off. I can also use the camera on my car when I tow it, the signal is just as strong as when the camera is used on my RV without the tow car. I charged the camera with the supplied USB-C cable before use and so far, the charge has lasted as long as I needed it, augmented by the little solar panel on top of it. I haven't used it for extreme long trips over several days without charging yet but pulling it off and charging it in the RV won't be a problem.

I purchased this camera to be able to continuously monitor a vehicle I tow behind a motorhome. Setup was simple and due to the monitors suction cup mounting option and the very strong magnet on the camera installation was quick. I first fully charged the camera using the included USB - C cord and my own wall charger. I then mounted it on the spare tire of the motorhome, the strong magnet on the base of the camera held firmly along and with the weight of the solar charge assisted battery gives the camera a nice hefty feel. The 5" monitor I mounted inside near the driver's cockpit area using the suction cup mount. Once I had both components mounted I used the included 12v power socket powered cord to power the monitor on, the cord has a push button on/off switch incorporated into the plug, which lights up when the power is on. Once the two components were powered on a connection was made quickly , about 30 seconds and I was able to customize the view on the monitor to my needs, then adjusting the remote camera to the angle I wanted. My installation has the monitor and camera about 30' apart. The signal strength was good and picture was clear and bright with options to adjust the many features including parking guide lines. This camera will be a good option for my needs with many well thought out features such as timed off settings, auto off, and ability to connect multiple camera feeds to the monitor. I had one question for the seller and received a prompt response within the hour. I think this product is a good value for the money giving me all the functionality I desired for my needs. I plan to update my review after gaining more experience with the camera battery life, the solar panel should help with the battery charge but I expect I will recharge it daily via USB-C as a routine after a day of travel. This camera can also be used as a security camera while camping. Update 2-7-2026 After several months of continuous use, I can report with confidence this was a excellent purchase for my needs, It has worked flawlessly and through all types of weather, I typically recharge it every couple of days, the solar helps with longevity of the charge but it is easy to remove and bring in for a charge while we are stopped for the evening and ready to go the next day. The seller has next level customer service with prompt replies to any inquiries and service questions, they have gone above and beyond what is typical. I highly recommend both this product and the seller.

This thing’s great! Easy to setup, just charge the camera and plug in the screen. Clear image and signal connectivity. I stuck it on the tailgate of my f150 to make hooking up to the trailer easy, then relocated it to the back bumper of the 25’ RV for the tow. Magnetic mount is strong and has a nice rubber coating. Screen size is adequate without taking up too much space. It says the monitor will support 2 cameras, so I’m looking forward to adding a second camera and will update after my next trip on battery life / durability. So far, very impressed.

Bought it to back up a trailer with my van. Better view than my normal backup camera due to better angles. Just plug and play. HOWEVER, it has a delay. It makes backing a short trailer too difficult and I ended up relying on hand signals and mirrors.
