It's good for decoration, but not for lighting. Not bright enough to light a closet let alone a room. But I didn't purchase it for its light so it's no big deal. Others are saying it's difficult to get to float, but I disagree. Takes maybe 10-15 seconds. Just make sure you hold the base down while you attempt to get the alignment right or the magnets will pull towards one another. ... show more

I recently bought the exekoml Magnetic Levitating Floating Wireless Bulb Lamp for my office, and it’s an incredible conversation piece. Watching the bulb hover in midair and illuminate on touch always draws people’s attention—it really feels like magic! What I Love: Visual WOW Factor: The floating effect is seamless once you get it balanced, and the soft glow creates a cool ambiance. Wireless & Touch-Activated: No cords cluttering your desk, and it turns on/off with a gentle touch. What’s Challenging: Precision Required: Getting the bulb to levitate takes patience and a very steady hand—if it’s even a millimeter off, it won’t hover. Learning Curve: I spent a good 10–15 minutes dialing in the perfect positioning every time I move or dust around it. Issue with initial product but after contacting IYOUNG directly, I had a working replacement within a few days. Prompt customer service. Takes a little practice to balance the bulb, you'll have to trust that it will levitate about 3/4 inch above the base. Cool product, I like watching it spin.

Bought this for my 4th grade son’s magic act. We were surprised at how hard it was to balance just so, but with practice it gets easier and once you find the sweet spot it stays there pretty good. Definitely works. The bulb has been dropped several times on concrete and pulled on and off the base repetitively and still works like a champ. Base is definitely plastic with wood grain. Worked even with fabric between the base and the bulb. Forgive the duck tape on it in the picture our goal was not cool office light but embedded into a table top. ... show more

    • Worked perfectly, but it rotates non-stop - so I have a little mini strobe light on my desk.
I thought this light would steadily float, maybe slowly turning as the air moved it. But apparently the magnetic motor either by design or as a side-effect turns this thing in a never-ending cycle, with each rotation lasting about three seconds. Fast enough for people who walk in my office to wonder why I have a spinning light on my desk. I put it away and haven't used it since. ... show more
