The clay kit came with various colors, tools, and accessories to play with. Each clay is about 1 x 2 inches in size, which is enough for a few small to mid size projects. It is pretty easy to play with, but you need to use plastic wrap to wrap the remaining clay to prevent it from drying. For mixing clay colors, you just need to press it a little to blend them. I tend to use my palm and tool to shape the clay, so I don’t leave finger prints on it. In the box, it also includes instructions on how to dry the clay. The project i made can fit in a medium size mason jar. I use a stove oven to bake the clay — about 250F for 15 mins as instructed in the instructions. My final project came out pretty nice. The clay color didn’t change after baking and it’s light weight makes makes it prefect for a gift. I would definitely recommend this product as it’s not pricy and fun to play with; also friendly for all ages! I've attached pictures for one of the small projects I did -- a star house in a jar. I used the clay kit to make the tree decorations inside the jar and the stars for scorpio constellation on the outside of the jar :) ... show more

It is a great kids/beginners starter kit. The colors are a nice variation. And vibrant. They are easy to use and extremely soft. Like how it should be. It was exciting opening it and seeing really how much of there it was. It's an amazing gift and great for a fun kids activity that you can keep on going back too. This is a great set for beginners and experts... though it is geared toward children. It comes with a large variety of colors. It also comes with some tools and a nice assortment of pieces for jewelry making projects. AND it’s own carrying case. This was my first time using clay. I used this set to make coasters and it was great! There were lots of colors to choose from and I was happy with how mine turned out. You could tell that the color selection was probably random. I had quite a few green in my set. Even after making 5 coasters I had a lot left. I used some more to make Christmas ornaments with my kids. They loved it. I have not used any of the jewelry accessories that came with the set so I cannot say anything about those. My kids have spent hours making and baking their creations. This clay is soft but not too soft, it is easy to make things with and is perfect for beginners. I loved the soft clay and the ease of use. You have the ability to make beautiful items right out of the box. I did have a hard time getting the clay to bake hard, like clay, and not like rubber. I also couldn't find new single ones in my favorite and/or used colors. But overall you have a great box with a wonderful mix of colors to practice and play and even make for others.
