We’ve also got some surprises in store, with some packs containing special treatment cards destined for starring roles in your collection. This Commander Masters Set Booster Box contains 24 Commander Masters Set Boosters. Each Set Booster contains 15 Magic cards, 1 Art Card, and 1 token/ad card or card from “The List” (a special card from Magic's history—found in 25% of packs), including 2–6 cards of rarity Rare or higher (2: 34%; 3: 48%; 4: 15%; 5: 2%; 6: <1%) and 3–8 Uncommon, 4–8 Common, and 1 Land cards. Every pack contains at least 1 Traditional Foil card of any rarity. A Traditional Foil Land replaces the basic land in 20% of Set Boosters and a Foil-Stamped Signature Art Card replaces the Art Card in 10% of Set Boosters. A Traditional Foil Borderless Mythic Rare card can be found in 1% of boosters.

    • Do you even play commander?
Normally I don't recommend buying boxes (buy singles!) but this is a great box full of commander staples for folks who are looking to build out their commander collection or are going to be building a lot of commander decks. In addition to tons of bulk staples for Pauper and Standard commander, I got a bit lucky and based on just $3 and up cards, pulled about $500 worth of cards (if I'd have bought them individually). Highlights were a Great Henge, Doubling Season, Craterhoof Behemoth, Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger, Sword of the Animist, and Emerald Medallion. I guess I have to build my first mono-green commander deck now! Notes on the cards: The foils are very good (no pringling), there are Bond Lands (I "only" pulled 2), there are still List cards in packs!, and the borderless treatments are lovely. On the negative, there was an odd smell to the cards and some of the printings look "smeared" but that's really common occurrence these days as WotC fleeces its customers with cheap printings, bad reprints, and bad land packages in their commander precons. This feels like one of the last really good products that WotC has produced and while the initial investment is a bit steep the value is excellent. ... show more

    • It's expensive but for a reason
I was skeptical about buying this box for the price tag, it felt irresponsible and I almost canceled it after ordering. However, after opening the whole box, I got about $300 value from big singles alone and I feel like I made up for the rest of the box with other $1-5 cards. There is some really cool stuff in there and I didn't even hit any of the really big ticket items either. Lots of absolutely beautiful full art borderless cards and commander staples. I have lots of commander decks and am going to build 2 more based on what I got from this box as well as spreading many more cards out among my other already existing decks. You could absolutely lose money on this box or make it back, it is rolling the dice, but I came out satisfied with the 1 I got and was happy at the end of the day! ... show more

    • Skeptical? Probably should buy it.
Newer collector and player of MTG. Was skeptical on this due to the price. Absolutely pulled every good card on this set. Scanned total was just under $600. I know it’s always a gamble, but I literally got Swat, Tutor, TWO Avacyn’s, and a lotus. Super pleased.

    • Overpriced
The product is great, I don't buy magic boosters to sell them and make a product so I don't care if I don't get the 380 dollars worth of cards that I paid or it. I buy boosters instead of singles so I can get more cards and chances at getting multiples of cards for multiple decks. That being said this set is huge, 800 plus cards so your chances of getting one a doubling season or ur dragon is unlikely even less likely to get 2. But if you want good cards that are playable and can be added to your existing decks or to make new ones this set will help. I got plenty of good cards I think I estimated 90% of what I got I added to my collection, so this set is great and would highly recommend but only if you got a decent job or just alot of money. Usually I'll buy like 4 or 5 set boosters from every set but with the price of this I won't and most people will just avoid the box altogether due to the price. But with all that said love the set, great cards but very unhappy with the price. Notable cards I got from set was UR dragon, avacyn, craterhoof, sapphire medallion, balefire dragon, jeweled lotus, smothering tithe, morphon and plenty more Still salty about the price I paid though ... show more

Value in cards opened exceeded price paid. That's really all you can hope for right? Even if you aren't into resale and you actually play, there are some amazing cards in this set. Definitely some major heavy hitting creatures as well as some of the best enchantments like "wrath of God" a card I have tried to keep in my deck since the 90s.
