Nice jacket but the insulation is such that you will feel a chill in a 66F room but if you are doing litteraly anything to create internal heat, the jacket holds in moisture too. Size, based on the label. I ordered a mens Medium. The label listed several other peoples as Large, but USA as Medium. -What that means to to normal folk. On me, medium shirt is getting tight and an large shirt is only just a little loose. This jacket, is a Medium and I could easily wear several large shirts under it before being tight. The biggest issues: If you put hands in pockets, the Velcro on the sleeves will get stuck in the pockets. Also it's a little tight, under the arms. I was so pleasantly surprised that this M-size jacket fit me perfectly! The length of the arms was just right and could be tightened at the wrist if necessary. The length of the jacket fits well near the waist. The pockets are placed in the best spot so my arms are relaxed when I place my hands in the pockets and they are deep enough for my hands to fit in comfortably. It's warm and lightweight. Nice fit and it's thin but very warm. Blocks the wind too! It was only 60 out but it was 15+ mph winds, and the jacket blocked all the wind. I didn't feel any of the chill.

I have a dark blue Columbia Ascender jacket and I love it so much I have been looking for another in a different color. I have been looking for about a year on Amazon, other websites, and Columbia’s site. They make or have made other colors, but the only ones available are either the ugly 2-tone or basic blue, black, and grey. I work in an office and this style of jacket works well with just jeans or a more business professional setting. I finally broke down and bought this knock off version. I originally bought a large cause that’s the size Columbia jacket I have. However, I felt like it was a little too big, so I bought a medium. The jacket looks and feels great. If you’re looking for a Columbia Ascender and something other than the same 3 colors, I would go with one of these. The only issues I have is that the Columbia version is almost like a soft neoprene, whereas this version looks the same but is somewhat noisy when walking or if you rub the sleeves. It’s almost got like a plastic feel. Perhaps it was treated with something to make it more rain repellent. I tried washing it right away and even added some vinegar to the water hoping it would help. The other things that might be an issue for some people are there is a weird inner pocket. It will be good for paperwork or envelopes, but I wouldn’t recommend using it for small items because the sewing doesn’t go all the way and a small item can go “into the jacket”. Also, I was looking for like a stone green/darker green color. The original large version I got was more green in color, whereas the medium I bought was a little darker. The darker color is the one I wanted so it worked out in the end. ... show more

Better than expected. Looks good with many features. Fleece lined sleeves make it a bit harder to put on or take off when wearing a flannel shirt. Nice shade of blue.
