Cream color was beautiful. I read the reviews & instead of washing it first & clogging my filter, I threw it in the hot dryer. Wow! At least four full lint filters full. I washed it & more lint. (I think it's even thinner now). It's cotton & comfy & just right for summer but not the best deal. If I hadn't needed it for company, I probably would have returned it. ... show more

I am delighted with this blanket! I ordered it for a guest double bed that has a yellow-and-white checked dust ruffle and pillow shams. The yellow blanket matches exactly. As received, the weave was extremely loose, and I considered returning it. Laundering instructions called for cold water wash and low heat dryer setting. In an attempt to shrink the blanket and thereby to tighten the weave, I washed it in hot water and dried it on the hottest dryer setting. Voila! The weave tightened considerably, yet the blanket fits the double bed very generously and I suspect would fit a queen size bed well. I hope that a future duplicate laundering process will tighten the weave even more, but I no longer can stick my finger through the weave. One reviewer complained about the amount of lint collected in her dryer's lint filter. I estimate lint extraction to be less than that of flannel sheets or towels in their initial launderings and thus not excessive. Even new percale sheets release a lot of lint; such I the nature of cotton. Value for price is outstanding, and the wide range of colors is a definite plus. ... show more

I bought this since I thought it was such a good deal at a great price. When I opened it, the blanket felt very stiff and rough to the touch so I washed it. Which lead to not being able to return it. After washing it, it kept its shape but it was still really stiff and rough to the touch. It felt scratchy against my skin so I thought even though I could not return it, I'd at least let others know that if they're looking for a soft, light blanket....this is NOT it. UPDATE: I did wash the blanket a second time in warm water and it did soften up where it was more bendable and softer to the touch but definitely not a soft like fleece would be. If there was a flat sheet between you and this blanket, it would be better. ... show more

I was thoroughly unimpressed with this "blanket" - its thinness made it almost non-existent. The description claimed it would weigh at least 3+ lbs, but mine tipped the scales at under 2 lbs. The material itself feels more like threads than fabric. On the plus side, its light weight does make it easy to fold up and store away compactly. You could even use it as a makeshift window screen or cover your head while watching TV. Unfortunately, my expectations were way off from what was shown in the ad pictures. If you're looking for something to line the bottom of a hamster cage, this might do the trick... but for anything else, I'd recommend keeping your search going. ... show more
