What a great blanket! 100% cotton quality blanket for my bed is what I was looking for and I found it with this Madison Park Egyptian Cotton brand. It lives up to all those positive reviews others have written and those are the reviews that ultimately helped me decide to choose this brand. Those negative reviews about excessive lint? I didn’t see it after washing and drying it before using. How about those negative reviews about snags? This is a fairly tightly woven cotton blanket but snags can certainly occur if you let pets with nails jump on the blanket. Yeah, I guess those who rated it a one star ⭐️ were right...for not using enough precaution to avoid such an obvious danger of damage to a woven cotton blanket! Besides, if you do get a snag (and let’s face it, most woven cotton blankets will eventually get a snag) they are easy to repair. Just use your search engine! Some negative reviews referenced the blanket not being thick enough. Well, that’s a very personal perception and expectation. I was looking for a blanket I could layer by putting the blanket on top of my flat bed sheet and then put my down comforter on top of the cotton blanket. PERFECT for me! This blanket provides the year-round flexibility to use it as an added layer to keep warm during cooler temperatures and is just right when only a bed sheet and/or a light yet sturdy cotton blanket is needed during those warmer nights of sleep. Also, with my comforter having a cotton duvet cover over it, the comforter doesn’t slide off the bed when it’s on top of this blanket. More sleeping comfort! Don’t be swayed by some of the negative reviews. This is a great cotton blanket. Not too thick, not too thin, nicely woven and won’t just stretch when you pull on it to get more covering...the entire blanket will move! In fact, I’m so impressed with this blanket I’m ordering another color so I can seasonally mix things up. Oh, and the color? It was pretty darn accurate to the color in the picture! No regrets! EDIT 07/2021 - Update: It’s been more than three months since buying the khaki colored version of this blanket and have been using it on my bed ever since. I LOVE this blanket. As mentioned before I was looking for a cotton blanket that was not too hot or too cold and this one has passed the test during the hot months of mid-Atlantic weather. After living with this blanket for three months and really enjoying it, I purchased another one in blue. It arrived packaged brand new, no snags, I washed and dried it easily with no overly excessive lint realized and very minimal (if any) shrinkage, no pilling and super cotton soft. My Mom wanted a soft, rose colored blanket for her bed. Not an easy task finding one but saw this and after reading reviews I purchased it. Was hard waiting for Christmas to see and feel it and was so happy when she opened it- very soft and lovely color- washed and dried on low before using, came out even softer! Not too heavy to restrict movement but midweight and so warm and soft. Great blanket at great price, shipped fast by seller and made Mom happy. What else could anyone want? Highly recommend this and when I replace my beloved ratty blanket I will be getting one of these for myself! I bought a king size for a queen size bed, to account for any shrinking when washed and dried. After washing it fits wonderfully well. It is the perfect weight for summertime and will be equally great for winter under a quilt. The blanket is super soft cotton. To start, I have to say how much I love this blanket. I’ve been looking for some time to find a blanket that won’t make me too hot (…night sweats 😩), yet, cozy. Perfect with just a sheet with this changing weather, but also great under a quilt for real warmth. I’m not a fan of waffle knit, but the pattern in this blanket is very pretty. But, I do have a few qualms about the blanket. I was looking for a soft rose color, and online this looks like the color would be almost mauve. But, once taking it out of the package and washing it, the blanket is definitely pink… it’s fine for now, but I’m tempted to give it to my granddaughter who loves pink. The worst part for me, is that it’s not dog friendly! After only being on my bed for 3 days and with our dogs jumping on it, the blanket already has lots of pulls and even a few holes. I’m so disappointed! 😢 Not the fault of the company, but just a note, that if you have animals that like to jump onto your bed, I would not recommend this blanket. ... show more
