I must say, this cat tree has lived up to most of my expectations beautifully. From the get-go, assembling this feline paradise was a breeze. The instructions were crystal clear, and I appreciated not having to wrestle with any parts – everything fit together effortlessly, making the setup process smooth and hassle-free. Structurally, this cat tree stands tall in both design and sturdiness. It's well-built, stable, and doesn't wobble, even when my furballs launch themselves at it in their typical daredevil fashion. Plus, it's a real looker – the soft carpeting gives it a cozy, inviting vibe that blends seamlessly with our home decor. However, it's not without its minor flaws. While the top of the tree is a popular lookout spot for my bigger cats, some of the lower levels and pouches seem to have been designed with only the tiniest of felines in mind. My larger kitties gave these spots a try but quickly realized they couldn't settle in as comfortably as they wanted to. As a result, these sections have become somewhat of a ghost town, reserved for the occasional curious inspection or an attempted squeeze-in that quickly turns into a give-up. But let's circle back to the positives – because there are many. The top perch is constantly occupied; it seems I've unintentionally created a "king of the castle" game that my cats are all too keen to play. The scratching posts have also been a hit, saving my furniture from further feline redecorating attempts. Given the easy assembly, sturdiness, and overall beauty of this cat tree, I'm willing to overlook the sizing issue of the lower levels. It's clear that the top of the tree is where the magic happens for my bigger fur babies, and that's perfectly okay. After all, seeing them so content and perched high, surveying their kingdom, brings me immeasurable joy. So, despite the minor design oversight, I'm awarding this cat tree a well-deserved five stars. It's not just a piece of cat furniture; it's a sturdy, beautiful addition to our home that brings happiness to my feline friends. And maybe, just maybe, with a bit of catnip persuasion, the lower levels will see more action in the future. ... show more

Review on 02-07-2024 ---- We've had this put together for 3 days now and the cat hasn't used it yet. I am going to put some catnip on it maybe he will use it after that, but the problem is, it's way too small. I bought this because it was advertised in a way that made me think it would be good for large cats. I have a big boy, not overweight he's just large, and the shelves on the tower are just too small for him to enjoy it much. If you have a cat 12 pounds or larger, look elsewhere for a cat tower. I only wish his former cat tower was still available, I would have bought it again. ... show more

There's nothing more obnoxious than a bored cat, imo!!!! The yowling, the scratching on EVERYTHING, the attitude... Cats think they are the ruler of the household and if they cause enough havoc, you're tempted to just give in to them....NO!!! My cat is a prime example of this...he NEVER stops yowling, he can yowl for DAYS!! Has even lost his voice on more than one occasion!! I have given him toys, made a set of wall shelves and a window hammock but he gets bored within a day or 2 of getting new toys...UNTIL I PUT THIS IN HIS ROOM! I sprayed catnip spray on it to encourage him to fully investigate it..after 3 days, he's STILL INVESTIGATING!! AND HE'S QUIET!!!!! NO YOWLING OR BITING FOR ATTENTION!! If it's gotten him to shut up, this tree can keep any cat happily entertained!! The best thing about it is that it has sooooo many different ways to be assembled, you could potentially have a different set-up every week!! It comes with EVERYTHING you need to assemble it, including a very detailed book of instructions with pictures of different set-ups! I chose to use all of the parts and make the biggest tree possible... AND EACH PART IS CLEARLY LABELED WITH A LETTER STICKER! You can build it to fit any space, you can build parts separately and have something in every room to keep cat occupied or change them out frequently so cat gets something new whenever he's getting bored again. It is made of a sturdy manufactured wood type material, a soft fuzzy covering and a rope type material wrapped around support posts for scratching. There's even a large, sturdy, stiff bristled brush for those always itchy cheeks and chins to rub on!!! The only problem I had was with the screw meant to fasten the supportive strap to the wall. This is a great safety feature and prevents the tree from toppling over if you chose to build one of the taller variations, like mine....EXCEPT that the screw BROKE OFF when I tried to put it in the pilot hole I'd drilled into my wall!! I had to use a drywall screw I had . The strap itself gives a bit of concern as well because its very narrow and will potentially wear out quickly. I plant to replace it with some vinyl pipe hanging tape so I don't have to worry about it wearing out and letting the tree fall on cat or into a window. Both those are VERY MINOR CONCERNS AND EASILY FIXED, I only mention them so you're aware in advance. Overall, this tree is superbly constructed and will provide your cast with countless hours of entertainment! Definitely gets a 100% recommendation!! ... show more

Took me awhile to take this out of the box due to moving. I put it together last night and these are my take aways: Pros: 1. Easy and quick to put together, took me 2 episodes of Frasier. 2. Has rope scratching areas not carpet, so very easy to DIY replace and keep longer 3.Sturdy 4. Nice color as described 5. Really like that there are multiple ways it can be built and that you can make it into multiple small trees or 1 big tree Cons: 1. The instructions could be more detailed. A few pieces I had to take off and redo once seeing future steps. 2. It is small. I have a very tall, very large cat. He's not going to be able to utilize the majority of this tree due to his size. I'd say this is for your 10 lbs and under variety of cat. ... show more
