  • Best Mouse I Have Ever Had the Pleasue of Owning
Style: R.A.T. 8+ Black
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING 11/10!!! I have owned and used this mouse for a little over a month now and I cannot stress enough, this mouse is AMAZING. Don't like the side rests? Change it. Don't like the weight? Change it. Don't like the LEDs? Change it. Don't like the palm rest height? Change it. See the pattern? Everything about this mouse is absolutely, 100%, customizable which makes its ergonomics second to none as you can form it to fit your hand no matter how big or small your hands may be. This mouse is one of the heavier mice available, second only to the ASUS Spatha, personally, I think this is a major plus as I came from the old Logitech wireless mice that took AA batteries years ago. If you do not like that weight though, you can remove weights from the mouse to give it a lighter feel. The DPI selection buttons on this mouse are one of the best designs I have seen on a high-end gaming mouse, bare in mind, I have used them all. The Logitechs, the ASUS Spatha, the Corsair's, the Razer's, even some off the wall names that make customizable mice, this R.A.T 8+ mouse is absolutely the best of all of them. The customization is second to none, the materials are absolutely the highest quality that I have ever felt in my hand. The ability to change all of the laser's settings makes lift-off height a non-issue. The clicks are satisfying and the, "Sniper," button on the left thumb rest is extremely useful and very well placed. The details on this mouse also set it apart from the competition and add a very cool look to it. The reinforced metal body of the mouse also provides confidence that I could throw this thing across the room and into the wall and full force and there not be a scratch on it, it is absolutely RAGE PROOF. It also comes with an alan key built into the back end of the mouse in order to change out the pieces quickly and easily which is probably my favorite feature. The software is also very easy to use and allows you to customize each individual LED light and make sure that they are the colors that you want and also offers some cool lighting modes. In summary, I LOVE THIS AMAZING MOUSE AND RECOMMEND IT OVER EVERYTHING OUT THERE 15/10 WOULD BUY AGAIN! ... show more

  • Megatrons right nut, and its ergonomic.
Style: R.A.T. 8+ White
I still have my original cyborg rat 7, a mad catz rebranded rat 7 and now this rat 8+. They are mostly the same. I think the sensor and software is better in the 8+ compared to the others. The packaging is the weakest, as well as the overall feel of the material. It is hard to explain, but when you hold both, you just feel it... You won't be getting 10 years out of this mouse, like the others. It feels just a tad more flimsy, is more shiny plastic instead of soft touch, even the switches felt a bit springy instead of crisp out of the box. All that said. I spammed a few dozen rapid clicks through it and it cleaned up. The mouse glides like it is held aloft by cherubs dancing over clouds. You can adjust this so many ways, that if you cant find a way to make it comfortable, then you are probably using the wrong hand... Once you get spoiled by this thing you never want to use anything else. I do use an elecom trackball, but only for web and mundane tasks otherwise the rat gets called into service. The LED lighting is pretty standard fare, 3 zone color, with effects linked across zones. It's a bit of a clunky interface as you can't copy colors, but whatever, how often do you really change them anyway? DPI is insane. Also has a surface/lift detection setting that helps calibrate for different surfaces. Overall, this is a step up from previous versions. Way better than razer stuff... If you want to experience the pinnacle in ergonomic adjustability get this mouse and you will never go back. ... show more

  • Best mouse ever
Style: R.A.T. PRO X3
This is the smoothest, best performing and most comfortable mouse ever, everything and I mean everything is adjustable, a button to change profiles you set in the software and more options and adjustments than any other mouse on the market! 6/5 stars!!!

  • A welcome return hampered by cost cutting
Style: RAT DWS Wireless-Bluetooth
I used to own a RAT 5, and after loving it dearly jumped to a RAT 7 for an even better experience. When I saw the RAT line had returned in earnest, I bought the one to suit my needs. Pros: - Nice fit and decent weight, the metal bottom does wonders on a pad - High DPI on a good sensor, less lift required to reset your positioning on a pad - Uses replaceable AA batteries so you don't have to worry about a rechargeable battery depreciation ending your time with this before anything else goes Cons: - Cheap feeling plastic, which shouldn't be a thing on a $100+ price range - Less customizable than the last time, granted still better than most wireless mice out there, but the wireless option doesn't even have weight customization -Lackluster DPI switching, you can change it on the fly, but there isn't any increment/decrement option, just a one way cycling - No port for wired connection, not the biggest thing in the world, but if you run out of juice mid-match without a replacement battery you're SOL - Doesn't convince you it deserves the price tag Geared for FPS players, the high DPI and "sniper button" will give you the tools necessary to improve your gaming. The swappable side plates are great if you run a palm or claw style, and the expanding/retracting palm rest will ensure that your hand is never too big/small for it. However, if you're looking for the be all end all perfect mouse of yesteryear, this isn't it. If you're an MMO, RPG, or RTS player this mouse will almost feel like a handicap with its lack of buttons. It's a fine mouse, but after using it for some time I had to ask myself "why did I pay over $100 for this mouse?" To which there is simply no good answer. Sharp and unique looks, hampered by the cost cutting of a freshly resurrected company makes for an OK mouse that you're better off waiting for a sale before buying. ... show more
