Description

These white bath tub splash guards are constructed of rigid plastic and include a left and right corner piece. Each piece features a water-deflecting wing which curves in 2-3/8 inches towards the tub, designed to redirect flow of excess water back into the tub. These rigid, non- adjustable, corner-fitting splash guards come with a 90 degree angle, designed for tight-fitting corner installations. These splash guards are best installed with a clear or white silicone-based adhesive product, but wall and tub surfaces should be cleaned prior with alcohol to provide for a clean and permanent bond. Silicone adhesive is not provided with this item and must be purchased separately. Application of silicone adhesives should be followed as per manufacturer’s instructions. Installation Tip: Once surfaces has been cleaned and splash guards have been set in place with silicone, allow 24 hours for curing prior to exposing to moisture.     • Does the job better than any other splash guard
The fact that you have to provide your own sealant, and the curved end, really make this an exceptional product. My experiences with other splash guards that have double sided tape always ended badly as they came off over time or nasty mold easily formed on the tape, even if heavy duty outdoor tape was used. For this item I thoroughly cleaned all surfaces to be joined with alcohol, let dry, applied copious amounts of white PPG Tub & Tile acrylic sealant on the horizontal and vertical surfaces (on wall and tub, not on the item), placed the item and held it in place for 4 minutes, then gently cleaned off any excess sealant with just my index finger. We didn't shower for 36 hours afterwards to allow full curing of the adhesive. It holds super secure and there are no more water puddles on our floor after showers. ... show more

Works wonderfully! It does not come with silicone, I got a little squeeze bottle of silicone caulk to use. Make sure to clean the surfaces thoroughly first. I also wiped the surfaces down with rubbing alcohol to remove any cleaning residue. I dry fitted the piece, had to have it at a slight angle for the best fit, and used a dry erase marker to make a guide line. I put a bead of caulk next to the dry erase line (would have worked just as well putting it on the piece, as long as you know exactly where it needs to be placed for a good fit) and pressed it into the caulk. When using silicone caulk, have a small bowl of rubbing alcohol nearby. If you dip your finger in the alcohol, you can use your finger along the edge of the guard to smooth out the caulk without it sticking to your fingers. I only had to hold it in place for about 30 seconds before I was sure it wasn't going to fall over. Now there's no more puddles after a shower!! The curved design is invaluable. The way my tub is angled, if it were straight the water would just run off the edge. This way it creates a little puddle that drains directly into the tub. ... show more

I am a plumber so the install was easy for me. I was disappointed that it didn’t come with self adhesive strips to hold it in place before sealing with silicone however the quality of the plastic is good and thick.

These pieces seem to be made out of some of the cheapest plastic possible they are hollow and their edges are extremely Sharp. The are are so sharp that they literally cut through all the packaging. It was aware they would not come with adhesive so I understood the cost but I did not realize just how cheaply they would be made and how dangerous they could be. They do not seem to be safe for anyone to have installed in their bathtub. If they're sharp enough to cut you getting them out of the package, then they're sharp enough to cut you when you're getting in and out of a tub. Plus they took over a month to get here with Amazon Prime. I will not be using them and I will be asking for a refund very dangerous product!!!!! ... show more

    • Sturdy, gets the job done.
My bathroom is apparently uneven. It sits flush with one wall but not the other. I used loctite bathroom adhesive to install it, only took a minute, it been about a month and so far hasn’t budged. I wish they were a bit flexible so there wouldn’t have been a gap I had to fill in. It does the job, keeps my bathroom from being flooded after showers. ... show more

    • WARNING!!! Doesn't fit square with one-piece molded tubs
I bought these, and didn't think about the fact that the walls, and the tub, are all a one-piece molded tub, which has a slight curve between the tub and the wall, which prevents the guard, which has a square corner, from fitting square to the wall, thereby leaving a gap that water can get past, which defeats the purpose of buying them in the first place. Also, note that they don't come with self-adhesive, and must be caulked in, just in case anybody was thinking that they did. They seem well made, and would would probably work fine in a normal tub. Since the mistake that prevented it from working in my tub, was my mistake, I'm still going to rate it five stars. ... show more

Product works as advertised. For those complaining about no double sided tape to install, it says it comes with none in the description. Use pure silicone, it’s the best way to install it, double sided tape will fail overtime if it even works at all (I’m a plumber) If installed properly along with a shower curtain liner should solve most problems with water on the floor. ... show more
