  • Great Budget Stream Deck Alternative!
Color: Black
This macro pad has been a game-changer for my streaming setup. The programmable keys with customizable LCD displays make switching OBS scenes, triggering soundboard effects, and launching shortcuts super easy and intuitive. Setup was straightforward on my PC (works great with Mac too), and the build quality feels solid for the price. It's perfect for gamers, streamers, or anyone optimizing their desk workflow—highly recommend if you want Stream Deck-like functionality without the high cost! ... show more

  • BUY IT!
Color: Black
GET. IT. I LOVE mine so much! It has made gaming, streaming, editing, and work SO much more convenient! I use a lot of spreadsheets for work and its made commands so much easier! Instead of pressing 3 buttons to clip gameplay on my keyboard, I just have to press one now! The quality is incredible and the software is so easy to use! I love this so much I actually bought it for my squad as well, so another 3 of them lol. The lights are vibrant and beautiful for the background and the knobs! Size is perfect! Doesnt take up a ton of room on my desk! I run Windows 11 and its worked great so compatibility has been no problem! ... show more

  • Highly customizable. Love the knobs and physical display buttons Highly customizable. Love the knobs and physical display buttons
Color: Black
Not cheap. But definitely not overpriced. Love the physical knobs and physical buttons and best of all the ability to customize the appearance of the buttons, it even allows for animated buttons. It has a lot of power tools that advanced users will fall in love with. Infinite levels of macro customizations and plugins! (Not really, but it feels that way). The hardware feels of genuine quality and not that cheap plastic feel and gloss from Temu manufacturers. Haptic feedback from physical buttons is a nice touch. Love the 4 included knobs and the reactive RGB with this device. It's a small feature and detail that a lot of competitors skimp out on. The adjustable brightness levels is just enough and not overwhelming. The buttons themselves are nice but the travel distance to press could preferably be halved. The graphics itself is a bit on the lower end in quality but not cheap. It has a vast selection of community plugins to fill your hearts desire, all it's missing are what should be additional built-in ratings, comments, and last updates system so users don't install developer dead plugins. But at least it let's you sort by most popular and displays a running "Downloads" counter for each plugin. Appreciate the fact that it uses USB Type C as the main data and power input; plus two additional USB Ports that can be used. Now for the downsides (Everything has a downside but this one is understandable): The software must be running at all times in order for the device to function (yes, software can be minimized to tray.) When minimized to tray, the software still hovers around 300 MB RAM Usage but less than 1% CPU Usage. The device goes dark if the software exits or crashes. Would be nice if it at least maintained essential functions without the app running. Developers should look into separating the software itself from the service and running a separate background service that won't rely on the app constantly running; this way the device can continue to run without the GUI software running. Can also be beneficial for Linux users if there were a CLI version that could be ran. Software UI could use some work. It can get tricky to find, learn, customize and get it to do what you want. It could highly benefit from a community built Store with custom Pages, Scenes, Other Customizations and Profiles for users to browse. In addition to that, An "Import and Export Profiles, Page/Scene, Plugins" feature with the ability that auto installs plugins from the imported profiles would be super beneficial for beginners. I, myself prefer to read instead of listening to video. Written Tutorials should be built into the app in some way instead of opening a browser and linking to Youtube videos. But that's just a preference. Software could also benefit from additional and more detailed "?" hover over tooltip buttons to help newcomers. The vsdinside.vip website needs work. Had issues with just making an account. Overall, it's worth the price when compared to other overpriced competitors and I can highly recommend it. The only true downside is the graphics quality and the software (which can be easily fixed by the developers). ... show more

  • Budget Friendly and High Quality Budget Friendly and High Quality
Color: Black
Having regularly used an Elgato Stream Deck, I was on the fence about purchasing an off brand with concerns that the quality wouldn't be as good. Fortunately, I am pretty happy with my purchase. I would say the button presses feel a little less satisfying than the stream deck, but you are still able to feel that tactile click are used to. The added vibration is nice and makes up for the tactile differences. The VSD software is pretty responsive and has settings that allow you to enable/disable vibration as well as change the knob led colors and brightness (they are pretty bright by default). Overall the device feels pretty solid and I think it's a nice plus that it has a built in USB hub. I think the only shortcoming is the software is not compatible with stream deck plugins. It appears there is an alternative plugin marketplace and the plug-ins used are not VSD specific, but a shared standard between all of these 'stream docks' that are available. I'm sure as time passes and these budget friendly devices get more popular, we will see a wider variety of plugins. Until then, if there is something missing you can give OpenDeck a try, it works well but the center screen portion is under utilized. Bitfocus companion also supports this hardware, but I haven't given it a test run yet. ... show more

  • Good quality, extremely useful, and some pleasant surprises
Color: Black
I was very surprised by the usability of this! The software takes some getting used to. The combination of scenes and pages can be confusing at first. You would switch scenes to change from "work mode" to "video mode," etc. I personally deleted all of the preset scenes and just use two. Once the scene is for streaming, and the other scene is everything else. On my "everything else" scene, I have the front page as folders so I can quickly access whatever I want. The quality of this specific product was a fantastic surprise. I recently got an SM7B (a microphone that requires special connections). This stream deck is able to power itself as well as the sound mixer that my mic plugs into, which also powers the mic! If that wasn't already great it also transmits the sound data of my microphone/sound mixer through that same cable! I would absolutely recommend this to someone that does want to pay the more pricey equivalent from Elgato. The device is new, so things may change in the long run, but as of now, I am very happy with it. ... show more

  • Great idea, easy software… but Mac users should wait
Color: Black
I really wanted to like this macro pad. The hardware looks sharp, the carbon-fiber-style finish feels premium, and the software is surprisingly intuitive right out of the box. Setting up shortcuts, multi-step workflows, and custom layouts is fast and painless—even if you’ve never used a programmable keypad before. 👍 Unfortunately, the experience falls apart on macOS. The rotary knobs—one of the biggest reasons I bought this device—are basically useless on a Mac beyond scrolling through folders. There’s no native system volume control support, which is a major miss for something positioned as a streaming/productivity controller. That alone defeated the purpose of replacing my existing Stream Deck. The plugin ecosystem sounds impressive on paper, but Mac integration still feels incomplete compared to Windows. It has potential, just not yet the execution. If you’re on Windows, this could be a solid customizable controller with lots of flexibility. If you’re on a Mac, I’d wait until the software support catches up—right now it feels like the knobs are just decorative dials pretending to have a job. 🎛️😅 ... show more

  • Does so much more than I expected. Vast amount of customization!
Color: Black
I don't leave product reviews too often, but every once in a while, I come across something special. This macro pad is one of those things. I've been waiting to pull the trigger on a stream deck for some time now, and the Elgato is just too expensive for me to justify as I really just wanted it for browsing, media, and some light editing. But... now that I have the pad and I am setting this thing up, I am realizing there are so many additional things I will be able to use this for. I did not expect this level of customization but every single section of this key pad can be set to different macros, and then you can have multiple presets with multiple different types of macros, and you can even link those presets to specific apps. So for example, when you open up Davinci Resolve, all of your editing macros open up on their own. I am still setting mine up, but the set up is super easy. I haven't encountered any glitches or issues. To the contrary, the changes take right away, the screen looks good. And I'm even able to upload my own videos as live backgrounds. Pretty happy with this thing so far. ... show more

  • Very solid and reliable with a usb 3.0 dock. Once the apps are updated it will beat a streamdeck Very solid and reliable with a usb 3.0 dock. Once the apps are updated it will beat a streamdeck
Color: Black
I'm changing my initial review. The first thing to note that might be a problem. Is bit focus companion doesnt work currently. I am told it is in the works and that's good. The seller offored to let me keep my unit I wasn't happy with so I gave it a 2nd shot. This thing ran 4 days of back to back audio cues, controlled Spotify and was uses as a usb 3.0 docking station without ever failing. I was very impressed. I think the build and the way the knobs feel are very close to a streamdeck. I hope the developers work hard on getting the knobs functions to fully be mapped with more apps and extensions like the traditional streamdeck like how the midi extension is using a 3 year old version with no knob support while the streamdeck is on the latest version. I say that because I like this alot more. The touchscreen is very good solid picture quality and brightness. It can FOLD for easy storage and its a mini docking station. Overall this has made me very happy but I really hope they work hard on porting all the most recent extension versions ... show more
