Why is not kicking it has very low volume even though i set it on U or a little higher. Maybe i don’t know how to set this up. I need help

I bought these to add a little extra BUMP to our system. We currently have two Mackie 18s. We ran these out of the 18s and these things could not keep up. I tried the different EQs and settings and trying to turn down the signal but the peak light was strobing red every time our drummer hit the kick. I know the specs are different between the two subs but I figured I'd be able to dial the 15s down but I guess not. I've tried it 3 shows now and have had the same issue. The last show we just shut the 15s off. I was hoping this would workout since the 15s are lighter and easier to haul than the 18s but no dice. Also, there is a SLIGHT difference when we use these with the THUMP 15s. The THUMP 15 sends out decent "thump" when its by itself. These do add more when we use them but for the money I don't think they add that much. Hindsight, I should have just bought another pair of 18s I guess. I give them a three because the issue running them with the 18s and the fact that I was expecting more when I ran them by themselves. If you are looking for a significant bass presence I would go with the 18s. ... show more
