I wanted two small chairs that recline to use for watching TV or reading, and these work for me. The color is perfect for my room, and the size is exactly what I was looking for. It took maybe 16 minutes from opening the box to fully assembled. You only have to screw on the legs and push the back into place. The directions were extremely clear, and the chairs were very well packed. I read several reviews that said they were difficult to push back to recline, and I don’t agree. I had no difficulty pushing them into the reclining position once I figured out how they worked. I will say that if you are over maybe 5’ 5”, they might not be the most comfortable for you. I’m 5’ 4”, so they work for me. The cushions are firm, so I put a throw pillow on the back for a little extra comfort, but I think these are great for the price. ... show more

    • Great Chair...Some things I'd like to share before and after my purchase.
First of all, it's a fine chair. I spent literally hours researching every Mid Century Modern chair online. I chose this one for a retro, Mid Century Mod Man Cave. I intend to use it primarily to watch TV. I needed one that doesn't take up much room. So, here are some observations I was looking for when shopping, all in one place...... Chair is exactly as described. Extremely well packed and arrived super fast in 2 days by Fedex. Box was in perfect condition. I put the box on it's side and carefully cut open the top and bottom, and the chair parts slid out easily. It is in only 2 pieces, seat and back, so very easy to assemble by yourself. Just attach 4 legs and drop the back into the seat. I chose a recliner to lay back at times to watch TV. It reclines easily, with just a push back, and easily returns to upright. No issue with it not "locking into place" when reclined, as many other chairs seem have comments on. It simply stays where you put it. NOTE: I AM 5 ft. 11" AND MY HEAD IS UNSUPPORTED WHEN RECLINED. Unfortunately this is a feature I was hoping for, but I suppose it is a compromise for the smaller size. With just a couple of inches short, I will have to purchase a small pillow to support my head while reclined. No deal breaker. I've done this before. I would have liked to know this beforehand, though. Otherwise at 5, 11 and 200 lbs, the chair is plenty big enough for me. The chair is comfortable with just enough firmness, but with plenty of cushion. The retractable footrest is fine and hits my legs in a comfortable position. If you are considering this chair, other than the height of the back, I find no cons, and would highly recommend this one. Hopefully, all my time and research will pay off in saving you some time. I was looking for a new chair to fill a space in our family room and to use when we had company and needed extra seating. I liked the look of the chair and it matched my decor well. The fact that it reclined was a plus, but I didn't think it would get used for that purpose. The chair is great. It is a slightly smaller scale but I positioned it so it isn't that noticeable in the room. Easy to put together. It looks perfect in the room and my kids use it (and the recliner) all the time! It is not the kind of chair you sink into but is not uncomfortable. For the price, it is a great chair. I highly recommend giving it a try. ... show more

I am so happy with this chair. It is for a my master bedroom so the size is perfect, even reclined. I got it in the cream color, which has a touch of a very light beige and not to vanilla. I added a decorative pillow and it is gorgeous. Looks very expensive and much nicer than my more expensive pieces of furniture. Very simple to put together (came in two pieces and you just insert top into bottom). Arrived at my house, well packaged, within two days. I cannot be happier.     • Love the look, but not comfortable.
We have had these chairs now for several months and I can now say, I do actually regret this purchase. Although, I love the look of them stylistically, they are just so uncomfortable. The backs are such a stiff foam and it doesn’t give at all, and the buttons poke into your back and actually hurt. Also, they are extremely small scale and are narrow, definitely not comfortable for a person over say, 175lbs or over 6 ft. I am sad because I wanted to like these, but I think we will have to try and find something different. ... show more

    • For the price you can’t go wrong!
For the price these chairs are spot on. They are secondary chairs in our living room. The seats are firm, which I personally like, but I’m sure that after they have been broken in, they will soften up. They Also offer good lumbar support too. I am 5’7” and if I slide my butt slightly down the chair, my head rests comfortably on the back. Anyone shorter than 5’7” will find these chairs plenty large enough as the seat itself is pretty deep. Although that these are a smaller recliner, they do not look small in the room. The install was simple. Took me around 10 minutes for each chair. There is no way to wash the cushion covers as they are attached, so I brought a couple of cans of Scotchguard to protect the fabric. It would be best to place these chairs between 2 to 3 feet away from the wall so when reclining, they won’t get obstructed. I was also pleased that the legs were brown. In some pictures they look black. I think that black legs would have cheapened the overall appearance. I am intrigued to see how durable these chairs are. I’m expecting that they will last me a fair while as they are only decorative pieces that will have light usage. First impressions were fantastic. Well packaged and not damaged.     • SMELLS TERRIBLE
Looks great in fact this is the 2nd set of chairs I've purchased. the old ones lost their shape in the seat just a bit and these are for a waiting room and I wanted them to look good so I just ordered new ones because they're so cheap...the new ones smell terrible and it's been a few months. we keep spraying them with febreeze and tide spray but nothing works. smell is only noticeable when you're sitting in them. ... show more
