    • Looks great, feels great
We love these chairs, and they look good in our living room. I slept in one of these for a couple weeks after csection because I couldn’t lay down without popping a stitch. Two things to consider: if you are a hefty person and plan on using these daily and often, the legs aren’t the most sturdy things out there, and if you are a tall person, you may want to get something else if you want to recline. I’m barely over 5 ft and as I write this review, my legs from lower calf and down are dangling over the foot rest, and the top of my head is right at the top of the back of the chair. I also find I have to put a pillow under my legs when I recline to make it comfy for me. All of that being said, it’s a great chair for light use, and a great price. Great for sipping coffee and visiting with a friend. Easy to assemble. I just don’t know how long they’ll last for us because we use them a lot. The front leg on one chair looks like it’s getting a bit loose and we’ve only had them 6 months. But then I sit in it nearly all day nursing a baby so 🤷🏻♀️ maybe they just aren’t intended for that much use, or I’m a bit too heavy for the chair. Edit: we’ve had these for 2-2.5 years now (I think) and they are still holding up pretty well with heavy use. I didn’t think the legs would survive this long, but somehow they have. They are now surviving small child and toddler shenanigans, including being jumped on and climbed all over, and the fabric cleans up really well with spot cleaner machine we have. We still sleep/doze in them occasionally with sick kiddos, and they do the job, with only mild stiffness the next day. 😅 Definitely still recommend these chairs, but they certainly aren’t what I’d recommend if you plan to be napping in, sleeping in, spending tons of time in them. So don’t deceive yourself there, especially if you’re a heavier or taller person. Sometimes you do just need a big fluffy lazyboy recliner. Maybe someday. 🙃😂 ... show more

This is a good recliner for people that are on a budget and people that have never owned a recliner and are on the fence whether they want one or not. Try this budget recliner and after a few months if you like it and it works for you and your space then upgrade to something better. I have never owned a recliner. I have a bad back and a small space so this recliner fit the bill. From afar it's a pretty good West Elm dupe at a fraction of the cost. The price included delivery so it was a very good deal. It's very light weight...only around 45 pounds so it will slide if its not on a rug. Is it comfortable? it's ok. You're not going to sink in it and immediately feel relaxed and sleepy. It's a hard chair. Back and seat are hard with hardly any lumbar support. You may need a pillow for the back. If you're over 5 feet 7 inches in height do not get this. Your head won't have any support. This is a good chair for a small person. At the same time it takes a lot of strength to push this chair in the recline position and it doesn't stay...it kind of bounces. I'm honestly not crazy about it but for the price and free delivery, it was worth it. Still on the fence whether i'm keeping it or not. ... show more

This turned out to be a great chair. I had been looking for a replacement armchair (the old one was worn out) for months when I came across this one. The price was right and the reviews were good so I gave it a shot. I got here quickly, was easy to assemble, looked good, and is comfortable. I typically don't write reviews but I had to for this one because I was so impressed with the efficiency, timeliness, and quality of this product. Delivery came fast. One box. Best part... it was SO easy to put together unlike most of the items you buy on here. All I had to do was twist on the legs and slide the back of the chair into the foundation (5 min), done! And... it is comfortable, looks great in my office, and the reclining functionality is great! Kudos the manufacturers on this one. Cost efficient and worth the buy. ... show more

    • Would be okay if it didn't Smell like fish!
Spent hours reviewing chairs that recline and would fit into fairly small spaces. My wife wanted something comfortable to recliner in to read, watch TV and do Reiki in. I decided to go with the Macedonia Mid Century model. It arrived on time and though the large box was slightly beat up, the chair was packed well and undamaged. Very easy to assemble with no tools. Simply align and snap the back into place and screw on the legs. Leveling discs were also provided that would slide onto the leg bolts as needed. A nice addition! Assembled, the chair looked nice and functioned properly (rocking and reclining). I'm 6'4" 240lbs and for fine in the chair though headrest was low to support my head well. Top of headrest was just under my head. This was for my 5'3" 150lbs wife who fit perfectly in the chair. Here's where the major issue came in... The material, though looking nice was very rough feeling. Not soft or gentle against the skin on her arms and legs. She also complained that there was an odd odor coming from the chair. Our daughter, 5'7" 180lbs, sat fine in the chair as well, but also claimed the material was rough and not comfortable and she too smelt an odd odor as well. I told them that it could just be the packing material which contained a large plastic bag, thin plywood inside the cardboard box and may need to be aired out a while, but they both said it smelt like fish! I smelt it thinking they were being silly but it did put off a fishy odor. Though sort of faint, it was a fishy odor. We let it sit for a few days without any change and I needed to move it out of the house do to the smell being to much to deal with. Returning because we can not use it in this condition and even if the smell were to finally dissipate, the material is just to rough to be comfortable to relax in. ... show more
