  • Fit the bill
Color: Orange
Original: These brushes fit the bill but left me with some additional desire due to previous brushes I have owned. They are not as robust as I was expecting; heads of the brushes pop off constantly during normal use. For the money these are not a bad purchase I just had some higher expectations compared to previous products. Update: The Company contacted me from my review and shipped me another set of brushes as they believe my first set may of been defective. They also returned my money even though I did not ask them to. I purchased these items knowing the risks of my purchase. I raised my rating of these brushes because the company obviously cares for their customers and the products which they produce. ... show more

  • You can do better
Color: Orange
My issue with these is the strange grid piece in between the two layers of stringy pieces. If there was a third layer of stringy pieces instead, it would be much more effective. This is a cheapie. The individual strands are very thin and weak. I bought one made by OXO instead and it is well worth the few extra dollars for the quality. ... show more

  • Inside package was torn open while outside box was fine.. VERY annoying but works well
Color: Orange
My mom wasn't the best cook growing up (sorry mom) so I decided to take up cooking at a young age. I really do love cooking though & because of this I tend to buy every kitchen gadget on the market 🤷♂️ lol. Ever since watching Good Eats showing the best type brush to buy, I've set out on the search for one finding it for the most part in this product. (Silicone & inside "trap catcher". Pros: • silicone making it have a high heat residence & easy to clean • inside "trap catcher" holds onto more liquid than your average silicone brush • brushes on sauce & marinades easily & evenly Cons: • quality control I feel shouldn't have let this leave or it's just entirely too cheaply made albeit kind of nitpicking at this I guess (see last pic) • it feels rather cheap too though like when/if something goes wrong the handle will be the first to go • box was shipped completely damaged while outside box was undamaged & in mint condition (meaning, they shipped a torn half open item & they new it & didn't care) • looks like it would be better quality than what it actually feels like.. a lot of the silicone stands were bent & based on their pics it just seems like you'd be getting a better item than what you do get Conclusion: Considering the box was partially open & damaged I thought about returning it & had I been closer to a return center I might have. The big issue with that was the outside box wasn't damaged at all so they knew it was like that & shipped it anyway. I feel they should have said something ahead of time or even just sent an emailed to say, hey box is a bit worn or something instead of expecting me to just accept it. It's really cheap feeling but it's also cheap to buy so that's to be expected I guess. Just feels more like a $1 store/ 5 Below type of item than an $8 item. I wasn't really expecting greatness though so the product even with it's flaws DOES perform well at the end of the day & it's much better than using a spoon. It's also cheap enough that it makes up for the quirks for the most part so I say it's a good buy overall, just know going in you're not getting a quality item like KitchenAid, Farberware or OXO & if you know that ahead of time I feel you'll like this a lot more. If you're someone that likes the feel of quality, spend the extra $4-$5 to get something that feels as good as it looks. All that said the first thing I used it for was brushing pork chops with Dijon mustard before breading it & cooking. The Dijon went on evenly & I was able to make a nice thin layer. The recipe turned out great! ... show more

  • Every cook needs these
Color: Orange
I love these brushes! I have bought one before. I especially love that you can remove the brush head from the handle, which allows me to wash it so much easier. I actually prefer these to the natural bristle type because these don't mind the high heat at all. I often use em to brush the oil in my frying pan for an even coating all over the bottom, I use so much less oil that way and food won't stick. Every cook and anyone that cooks ought to have a set. Great for basting BBQ sauce on your grilling items, veggies or meat, greasing cake and cookie pans, just to mention a couple of ways to use. Then when you're done just remove the head and wash, or place in dishwasher silverware basket upside down. They won't melt like boar bristle does at high heat and they are cleaner, saunter too because fat/butter washes off completely. ... show more

  • I had my doubts, but I really like these.
Color: Orange
I bought these to use for baking. Brushing egg whites on things, etc. At first I didn't like them, compared to my old school natural bristle pastry brush (OXO) brand. I am still kind of so-so on them for eggs whites, but I used them recently for basting some other things while in the oven and they have really grown on me. Worked really well for BBQ sauce, butter, etc. They are also SO much easier to clean than a natural bristle brush. Not to mention the heat-resistance. I have melted a couple of natural bristle brushes. Needless to say, these go right into the dishwasher without coming out looking like a wet dog. So, despite my initial reservations, I wound up really liking these brushes. Sometimes change is a good thing. :) ... show more
