If there are spouses reading this, know that if you have a spouse who will be "responsible" for installation and assembly, know that this can test your relationship. For real. Instructions are almost non-existent. You have to do math problems and division to know how many crystals are supposed to go where (yes even some basic algebra will help). There are hundreds of steps to assemble this monster. The wiring alone is a nightmare. Trying to clip these tiny rings onto large crystal pieces is nearly impossible, and I got dozens of bloody pin pricks along the way. BUT - the end result is stunning. Not that we decided to go with a top medallion to decorate the ceiling, and we painted that AND the silver funnel looking piece that covers up the wires in the same color as our white ceiling. Otherwise, everything you see is what you get in this kit. If you are willing to dive into an adventure of assembly and willing to take your time, then go for it. It reminded me of trying to put together a 1000 piece puzzle, but with many of the pieces being identical. I would figure out one thing, do some assembly, and then come back to it later. In total it took about a week to install. I would say EASILY at least 8 hours were spent assembling this thing spaced out over those days, plus another few hours for assembly and painting. Also I will mention that at one point a crystal shard fell to the ground (or glass, whatever) and partially broke. Fortunately, there was one extra crystal of both sizes used (and a few little extra parts), so that was a nice touch and got me out of huge trouble with the spouse. I give it 5 stars for the beauty and end result. Would make a nice project to do over the holidays ... and I mean an entire week or two. But ultimately it is a rewarding project, and the quality and appearance looks like we could have paid thousands. Also, we paid full retail for this light, so this review is absolutely genuine and with zero compensation. Good luck! ... show more

We hired professional electricians to install and assemble two of these - one in the nursery and one in our primary bathroom - and they are FABULOUS!!!! I spent a few days putting it together, so I could think about which crystal goes where, and studied some photos on the website to try to figure it out. I had another, smaller chandelier to put together and the instructions were perfect, so I knew they could have done a better job with the instructions for this larger, more complex chandelier.) ... show more

I love this chandelier it’s everything I wanted! It feels like high quality crystals. I would buy it again. It isn’t hard to assemble but a bit time consuming (2-4 hours). So worth it!! As others have described, THIS is a beautiful lamp. That said, instructions are useless. Especially when it comes to the placement of the crystals. Know before you buy this YOU WILL BUILD THE WHOLE THING. Wire connection is pretty easy, hang the chandelier up and work from there (its easier). Install took about 1 hour, crystals and decorative chains took 2 days to do taking our time. (just refer to the photos for stock photos placement). We are very happy with the purchase. ... show more

I have put together many chandeliers and this one was by far the most difficult. Lack of proper instructions and incomplete parts didn’t help. It took multiple hours to assemble and the glass crumbled in places. I would not ever buy this again!
