I bought the 20 lbs blanket but it feel a lot less than 20 lbs. I am comparing the feeling to using my 18 lbs blanket ( different brand) that I replaced with this new one. But the blanket does feel high quality.

I’ve had the Luxome integrated, grey, bamboo, 60”x80” blanket for about a month now and made the following observations: Initially, it slept a little warm but I changed to some lighter sleepwear and turned the ceiling fan up a notch and It’s perfect now. Come winter, I may have change back. Also, I sleep with the blanket above my top sheet so it will stay clean longer. The blanket weights about 18 pounds which is irrelevant because the beads are sewn into 6” square pockets that do not move around (at least not yet) so the only weight on you is from the area of the blanket you use. I read somewhere that they put some kind of filling inside the pockets to keep the beads from moving and according to the blanket tag it is polyester fiber batting. Anyway, it works. This size blanket fits perfectly on a queen-size mattress with no overhang so there is no pulling on you from the edge of the bed. (I sleep alone so this size is perfect for me but according to the Luxome website, it is intended for individual use and couples should look at the largest size.) I also like the fact that it doesn’t have a removeable duvet to contend with and it is machine washable. Haven’t had to do that yet but I think our machine can handle it. I noticed something else on the company website: Their return policy is not exactly as reflected on Amazon. They do have a 30-day return policy but where Amazon says “full refund”, Luxome states that they will pay for shipping only in the event of a defect. If you just changed your mind, you pay for shipping. Also, they state they are a USA company, which I have not been able to verify but these blankets are made in China, in case you care. Finally, this blanket cost more than most of the ones I reviewed but I’m sleeping very well beneath it which makes it worth every penny to me. Hope this helps.

This blanket has changed my sleep life! No more fussing with a shifting blanket in the middle of the night. This blanket stays put!! I barely ever slept through the night prior to purchasing this blanket...now it's a fairly regular occurrence. A miracle in my book! Its warm. I use it without a sheet and it's very soft and comfortable. Haven't tested it in summer weather yet but since it says "cooling", I would assume it adjusts. My husband doesn't like being tucked in (I do) and even he loves it! I highly recommend this blanket to anyone.

I am giving this a good rating because feb quality of this blanket is superb but I am not able to use it. I was very excited to receive this blanket as I had wanted one for quite some time. I used it for one night and need to send it back. I have back and hip problems and both areas are sensitive when I sleep at night. The blanket felt amazing on, however, I was not able to turn over and switch sides as I normally do without difficulty and some pain in doing so. I hurt my back while turning over last night. If you have tender spots on your spine or hips I would be careful when using a weighted blanket. I will say that I did sleep extremely well. I don’t think I moved at all while I was sleeping under the blanket because I could tell I had slept in one position longer than I usually do. I wish they could make a lighter version. It’s a very well made blanket. It’s super soft and I used it right out of the packaging and the was no off gassing smell as you would expect with a product that has been vacuum sealed (I am sensitive to scents so it’s great when I find a product that has no smell). I wish I could use it

Read all reviews for the cooling blanket and decided to try one. I have terrible intermittent nights sweats (have had most of my adult life) and feared this heavy cover would melt me. First night, it took a little fine tuning to get the full-size 15 lb blanket on my full-size bed. IT IS HEAVY AND NOT EASY TO MOVE. I decided it would be best to ditch the top sheet and just use the Luxome as my only cover. Less restriction and easy to poke my feet out for cooling during the hot spells. I cannot express how wonderful this blanket is. Once you adjust to the weight, it really is like an embrace. No need for sleeping Rx by 3rd night. Decided its best also ditch my neatness habit and just let the blanket settle where it wants to. With this approach, the blanket does not drape over the edge of the best and so eliminates the very slight "trapped" feeling. Very snuggly. Wonderful sleep. THANK YOU

I wanted this blanket to be the answer to a good night's sleep. The blanket has a nice feel to it, quality of the fabric stitching is very good. I feel that I was being a little too conservative for the weight and didn't want to purchase too light of a blanket. Well, I was wrong. I'm a little over 200lbs and I found that this blanket was just too heavy. Trying to adjust from sleeping on my back to my side was more of an effort and never could find that sweet spot of comfort. If I had to it over again I would have chosen a lighter weighted blanket. At this point, I decided to shop local because boxing up that blanket and returning it was not as easy (heavy) when standing in line.
