In two years, in a house with 3 animals and in a high traffic area - it continues to look brand new because it vacuums and washes (in a standard washing machine) so well. I really thought about buying real cow hide rugs. But I didn’t want to spend the money to have one of my dogs chew it up. I looked at the reviews. It was highly rated and now I know why. It looks good for not being real. I have dogs & four grand babies. The fact that I can put this under our dining room table AND it is washable makes me so happy!! I can’t post a pic. Although it was a good size, it was not big enough (we have a looonnngg table). For the price & quality I am happy to order a second rug ( already have) to cover our dining room. So great! It doesn’t shed (much) it’s really soft, and looks great wherever you place it! Edit. 06/28/2021 the rug is holding up really well. I wash it in my front load washer, and dry in the dryer on regular basis. It stopped shedding entirely a while ago, and it still looks beautiful. Now it’s less fluffy, but nevertheless worth the money, and it’s still pretty good looking. ... show more

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder because this wasn't anything like a real hide. First off, the box was in really bad shape when we got it. The rug had no plastic wrapping and was just lying in the box. When unfolded, there was a big crease down the middle of the rug. Big enough that I doubt you'd be able to flatten it out. A lot of reviewers liked the look and feel and that's fine but to us it looked and felt more like a bathmat. just wasn't what we expected and the crease was a deal breaker. ... show more
