Very easy to apply, except it was a little difficult to get the film separation started, but not impossible! Suggest to cut pieces slightly larger than you need then apply and use blade to trim. Looks like specialty glass, and you can still see out if you get up close.

We have 2 stacked awning windows in our laundry room and though I still wanted natural light in that room, I got this film to obscure the lower window. Not only does it prevent people from seeing into the house from the street for security and privacy reasons, but the laundry room isn't always the tidiest room in the house, so this also keeps our mess from being clearly visible too. Though this film does still let light in, I also only put in on the lower window to keep the top window glass completely clear. Installation was a breeze. I cut this to sit in 1/2 inch shy of the window size because I wanted to keep a clear frame of glass and not have the film run edge to edge. This serves the purpose of privacy, yet lets me still peek through the edge if I ever need to see out to the street (yep, that UPS truck just delivered our order). I've used these kinds of films before and upon unrolling the film, I was a bit surprised at how floppy this is. Other films that I've used were stiffer and more like sheets of film. This was softer and floppier. This actually made it easier to work with, easier to cut and in the end, gives the same visual result. Spray generously because moving and positioning it is easy if there's enough water on the window glass. I just used a folded dish towel to carefully press the air bubbles out to the edge. That took no effort at all, then I was done. Super happy.

I applied this window tint to the windows on my garage door, and the garage is insulated but not climate controlled. The film is sturdy and thick, making it easier to work with compared to other tints, such as those used on automobiles. I found it easy to cut with a rolling cutter and cutting mat. However, the thickness can cause adhesion issues. One of my windows has started to pucker and peel back, as shown in the attached photo. I haven't tried to reapply the tint yet, but that might fix the issue. The tint is not perfect in terms of optical clarity, as there are some distortions when looking through it. While the reflectivity provides some privacy in certain lighting conditions, it can't be relied upon completely . I hope it deflects some of the heat load, but I don't have a way to measure its effectiveness. The film does provide a slight degree of shading, which I tried to capture in the attached photos. In summary, if you're using this film in a non-critical area where pristine optical clarity isn't required and a bit of peeling tint won't be a problem, it's worth considering. In the photos attached, I indicated the windows that have tint by the arrows pointing to them. The other windows have no tint. You can see how the glare was cut down on the inside of the windows with tint.
