I purchased this blanket specifically for its cooling properties for my boyfriend and I. He is a pretty hot sleeper (like a furnace!!), and I can be too. After comparing this Luna blanket to others on the market, this weighted blanket seemed like a great choice given its features, the price, and the numerous positive reviews. The cooling factor was a must, and given the fact that both of us have never used weighted blankets before, we weren't sure what to expect. I have to say that neither of us are disappointed with this blanket in any way! We went with the 20lb blanket in queen size, and it has a nice heft to it that makes you feel nice and snug and secure when you pull it up and tuck in for the night. My boyfriend and I are the type to blast the AC so the room is freezing, and then get under a bunch of blankets to get cozy, so looking to add a weighted blanket we didn't want anything that would add warmth. I wouldn't exactly say this blanket COOLS, but maybe that's because there are a few other blankets between the Luna blanket and our bodies... but it definitely doesn't get HOT, which is honestly all I was hoping for! This blanket feels really well-made, and the fine glass beads used to weigh it down feel almost like sand, so it feels like the weight is distributed pretty evenly. I bought the Luna blanket back in May and as of August 28th (the time of this review), it is still holding up strong and we get restful sleep under its weight every night! If you have never used a weighted blanket before and are looking to buy, this is definitely worth the try!

My favorite thing besides coffee. The fabric is smooth and luxurious, much to my delight. The glass beads make for a soothing filler. Glass! Who knew? And the weight is wonderful. Causes the blanket to feel like you are enclosed in a warm hug all night long. Very soothing and comforting and calming. I started using it all through the night immediately and ever since. I have linen/cotton sheets, my Luna, and a down alternative comforter on top. Heavenly. The only problem is now I don’t want to leave my bed. Helps me sleep through the night. And I have a slight uptick in my deep sleep nightly. Love love love

I bought two style weighted blankets for the wife. She loves this one and sleeps with it nightly. We have the adjustable style beds so we each have a mattress. If you press hard enough you can feel little glass beads (similar to a bean bag chair), but they don't move around and remain static. Curious to know about what filler they use. This keeps the weight well distributed. Material will keep you warm enough in winter, and cool enough if you have the AC on during the hotter months. Softness: feels like most comforters. It isn't plushy or super soft, and I am not sure if it was ever intended to be soft. Which is why I'm not consider that too much of a factor with the overall rating. It does collect a lot of pet hair so if you have a pet on the bed you're gonna notice the fur. However, it is easily machine washable. Follow the directions and it is as easy as anything else in the laundry. Seems really durable for the months we've had it. Well constructed. Shipped quickly and came in good shape. Would recommend

I thought finding a weighted blanket to replace an old one would be easy. I was wrong. It took FOUR tries to receive a blanket that wasn’t 15 layers of synthetic fabrics — which trap heat and making sleeping as a perimenopausal person living in a subtropical climate a VERY tall order — before I found the cotton Luna Blanket. You can tell immediately that it is truly quality cotton and not some microfiber swill, and while it does have ONE layer of polyester fill inside, the blanket did a wonderful job of providing comforting pressure while not trying to boil me alive. 12/10, perfect for my needs. Please never stop making these this way.
