  • Great travel lens
This is in many ways the worst zoom lens I've owned - but I love it. My other zoom lenses for my S5II and for my DSLR beforehand have all been fixed aperture, which is great and all, but they're so (relatively) heavy (and typically expensive). Can this lens stand up to them optically? Probably not. But it does great pictures for its size, it has great reach, and it makes my mirrorless feel positively portable. So I would recommend it for anyone who travels and is not using their camera professionally. ... show more

  • Small and light, ok sharpness and amazing OIS
For the weight and size, you really can't expect it to compete in sharpness with other larger options. But it is more than sharp enough for my hiking use under daylight. I used to carry the lumix gx9, with the awsome 14-140 lens, and this lens is definitely an upgrade when paired with the S5ii (a lot heavier of course). The OIS allows for high megapixels mode shooting while handheld. Both photos here were taken using high megapixels pixel mode while handheld (at 200mm and 105mm) thanks to the amazing OIS. Not bad at all for this compact size and weight. ... show more

  • Softer images with partial CA's and ghosting as a tradeoff for a great zoom range
It is great to have this zoom range and versatility. BUT it does not compare to the Tamron 28-200mm at all. While I was shooting with my S1RII and this lens my son took similar photos with his Sony A7C II and the Tamron 28-200mm. Although his sensor has 11MP less than mine, he achieved more details and sharpness throughout. The biggest weaknesses of the Panasonic 28-200mm are chromatic aberrations and ghosting. It is also not the sharpest lens. ... show more

  • Great build!
I use this lens on my Leica SL3. Not a fast lens but great quality and much more zoom and much lighter compared to the Leica 24-70 lens.

  • Best travel lens
Most versatile travel lens. Always my first option when heading out on a trip. Image quality is excellent, given that it is a super zoom. AF and image stabilization work great. I only use this lens for photography, so no issues with the variable aperture. Used it on S5II and now on S1RII. A few more mm on the wide end would have been the icing on the cake, but gotta be realistic for the size and price of this lens. ... show more

  • Good value.
Lens works great, i'm fairly happy with my purchase. I feel it was a good value. It does get rather heavy as the day goes on, and can sometimes be difficult to focus. I've attached a couple photos i took with this lens.
