This pair of Luminara brand, rose colored taper candles are beautiful. They are battery operated and have a lovely flickering flame. I like the moving flame, it gives the tapers a realistic look. Better yet, I really love the fact that they won't burn ones house down if the tapers are accidentally dropped somewhere in your home. The batteries are easy to install with an easy on/off feature on the bottom portion of the candles. This feature is mostly hidden by whatever candle holder they are placed in. The tapers have a coating of real wax over the working column which enhances the realistic look of the candle. I've purchased quite a number of Luminara products and they are all very well made. I replaced all my traditional wax candles with battery operated Luminara candles for reasons of safety. Luminara brand battery operated candles are not inexpensive but, for me, they are worth the price for safety's sake.     • They Don't Flicker! Save Your Money!

I bought these luminara tapers about 5 years ago. They worked great for five years. Changed the batteries every so often and had no issues. They were great. Unfortunately one candlestick recently broke so I thought I'd purchase another set. They dont work. Save your money and your time. The flame doesnt flicker despite changing out the batteries and following instructions for troubleshooting. After about a half an hour they just stop flickering. I returned one set and purchased a second set thinking maybe I got a bad set. Exact same problem with the second set. Returning second set too. Don't waste your time on these until they figure out the internal mechanism issue with these taper candlesticks. Now Im in search of something else for my mantel. Very frustrating. ... show more

I first ordered “ivory” but the color almost looked grayish-green. I returned them for “white ivory”. The box says “white” but I am much happier as this color is closer to a cream color and not a bright white as I feared ;not sure why it is white ivory on the site but when ordered is called white.
