The media could not be loaded. Garage organizing is a one of the things that will never end, unfortunately. I recently purchased a garden tools organizer in order to organize my gardening stuff and as a result it is used for keeping 6 folding chairs on the wall lol. And all my gardening supplies are still dusting in the middle of my garage. Well, it’s a long story. We recently moved into our new home and my garage is still packed with stuff so we can’t even use it for its main purpose - parking a car lol. So little by little I’m trying to furnish my garage with different kinds of shelves, racks, stands, hooks etc. Found this storage rack and seemed to me it would be pretty useful to move my folding chairs out of garden tools organizer. It is actually advertised as a lumber storage rack but now I can see it much more than just that. Upon unpacking the box first thing I noticed is a quality of racks, great quality! Made of metal, very well and nicely looking painted (even though I really don’t care how it looks like in a garage but still). Before purchasing got through some 1-3 stars reviews and numerous people are complaining about hardware quality issue. Here I can say most likely they sell some kind of upgraded or improved version now because all hardware in my package is literally heavy duty. Screws and nuts are pretty heavy for its size, excellent quality built and can be easily operated by hands with the final screwdriver tightening at the end of assembly. Absolutely no issues here and I confirm it. Unfortunately I’m still in some thoughts on which part of my garage wall to place it (still organizing and moving stuff around as said) but based on my previous experience I had to assemble and look what I actually bought before return window expires. So can confirm now - I’m definitely keeping it. Both racks are very simple to put together (make sure you attach the main black ones to the wall first and then fasten the orange arms), sturdy (specifically too sturdy for what I need this set lol), great feature that arms are foldable so whenever it’s not in use it won’t block my way. The swing up system is pretty simple - just start folding from the top one and the bottom arm will hold the rest of them (take a look at my short video for better idea what I’m talking about). Now just thinking if I ever decide to put 4 pieces of plywood onto this, it will be converted into 4 tiers rack and the length can be actually set by myself which I really like (all depends on plywood thickness by the way). So just great. For now I don’t see any Cons and can’t even fantasize what can go wrong but as always if something goes wrong I’ll definitely post an update here. Highly recommended product and hope someone will find my review helpful.

Unfortunately, I haven't had time to get this rack installed due to the fact that my garage has metal studs, and they are 48" apart… before I can use this, I need to add more studs and some plywood, BUT, this looks like it will be very handy for a wood rack/storage, and as you use the wood, you can fold up the arms and get them out of the way. Very handy, and I look forward to getting it in place.

As I pondered on the task of creating wood storage brackets to hold all my wood laying all over my unsorted garage, I found this kit and decided to give it a try. The load rating advertised was desirable. Now don't be mistaken by the photo I posted of one of the bars being bent. I did my own stress test with a 160lb human subject who had a very sad face upon the bar failing to hold him up. This is NOT what is advertised as the entire kit as a whole, all 4 supports are required to distribute the loading for a total of 500 lbs (as advertised). So put aside your worry, as long as you distrubute the load accordingly all is well. As you can see, I only used a 3 row configuration but still all 4 brackets. I like that it's designed for 4 rows of storage. With that came the extra arms to spare a curious stress test of the eager mind. This kit has proven itself worthy, hardware is excellent. Very easy to install and I like the ability of the arm to swing up out of the way if needed. Also, each arm has a stay-pin. Not to mention the kit comes with nut caps that do not expose the bolt threads as cut hazards; very thoughtful addition. Lastly, the holes are configured perfectly to accommodate any configuration and row sizing. Very cool! I liked this kit so much I bought two! Enjoy the messy garage pics, a work in progress.

I'm happy with these, I bought two sets to manage a lot of long stock. The metal is slightly thinner than I'd like, but using them together this hasn't been an issue. One of the mounting bolts did break when driven into the stud, would have been nice to have a spare. Pretty straight forward install, pilot hole, lag into studs.

They seem to hold up nicely with lots of wood on them. Got the four pack. I like that the bottom rack can have roughly 13 inches of vertical clearance. This was the best option for me. Also the arms extend further than most if not all of the other options on Amazon so I would recommend this product. Just MAKE SURE you get those bolts into studs. Don’t use the drywall screw holders.

We finally put this over the weekend and it's okay. It's not great but it will do the job we need to hold some wood while we refinish a room in the basement. I think the overall design is good but that materials are not seomthing you'll have for a lifetime or multiple moves. It is however hand to create some space in a room and get all those unruly pieces off the floor and organized better.

The hardware that comes with this is awful. I had a bolt snap as I was hand tightening it with a socket wrench (after predrilling an appropriate hole). The nut caps are completely mismatched with more than half being the wrong size.
