    • Great, firm pillow - to help with car "headrest tilt" back pain - though may not be for everyone
If you, like me, find the modern headrests in cars that are permanently tilted to force your head and neck (and consequently spine) into contorted, unnatural positions that give you horrible back, shoulder, and neck pain after a few hours of driving, to the point where you are scouring Amazon for pillows that may help with your predicament, then you like this pillow. For my body, it keeps my back forward enough so that my spine and head are mostly aligned. Does it sometimes mean my head is not touching the headrest if my posture slips and I hunch forward? Yes. Is that what car safety designers were trying to prevent with this absurd headrest design "feature"? Probably. Would I rather have permanent back pain? No. But be advised I am not giving safety advice so use at your own risk! 😂 Now on to the actual pillow. It is very, very firm. Personally I like that, I don't have to worry about it collapsing on me. It has straps to keep it in place, I think I use only the top one so it's easier to adjust on the fly. I have it sort of half way up my back, mostly supporting my lower back. I don't find it comfortable placed at the bottom of the seat, the cushioning hits in the wrong spot. On me, my tush and neck and shoulders don't actually touch the back of the seat or the cushion (my neck not touching the back of the seat is more the fault of the headrest's perma-tilt than the pillow). Personally I don't mind the feeling, since it gives me the option to arch and stretch my spine, which I found nigh impossible before getting the cushion. But it does feel a little odd at first (but to me feeling odd is better than feeling pain). I also had to adjust the seat back slightly so I wasn't too close to the steering wheel or pedals. But overall it's helped with my driving posture and I usually don't have any back pain (other than some usual stiffness from driving a long time). Before the pillow I felt like I was being forced into driving with horrible posture and the pain could be so bad I'd have trouble sleeping after a longer drive.     • Comfortable but not the most supportive.
Pretty good, I think I'd like a much firmer version. It might be a little more supportive for someone who weighs less than me. I'm definitely happy I bought it but I think I'd like one out of a much thicker material, like the kind of padding you'd use in contact sports.

I got this for my desk chair because I have back issues/arthritis. It fits fine on my chair and secures very well, especially if you criss-cross the straps and buckles. You can have it upright, like the picture, or "upside down" so the thicker part is on the top. It says the upright is good for lower back pain and upside down is good for upper back pain. It's nice and soft, but also sturdy. It's easy to set up, and it did make my back feel much better. Ironically, I have lower back pain, but it felt better having the thicker part on top (I have a thick butt mat though, so I think that was getting in the way). I like the color. Only complaint was it has a very slight smell (if you put your nose to it), but it has a zipper, so I think you can take off the cover to wash. ... show more

using it constantly. If you are little the chairs and lumbar support are often poorly positioned. I can modify the support easily with this. So far after months of daily use this can be lifted and moved side to side very easily. Great Seems like good back support as it does not get much weight pushed to the back....firmness.........medium I would say......not squishy ......thickness maybe 3 to 4 at my waist which works well......again height is adjustable. Material is not hot seems fine again since it is back support probably will not get spills or stains on it.......perfect posture support for me ... show more

This back support seems to be made just fine, and looks great. My only problem with it is that it works best for someone taller. I am 5 foot and the lumbar part hits too far up my back, and the place where it is supposed to go around the shoulder blades instead comes out AT my shoulder blades so my back is resting completely on the parts sticking out and does not conform to my back. ... show more

This is perfect for lower back/sciatic nerve pain. I have only tried it on my desk chair so far, but it gives the perfect amount of support to the lower back.
