  • Great little bulb. Does not get hot and the turtles like it
Style: Mini UVB 5.0 5W
I was looking for a bulb that was small and wouldn't raise our electric bill tremendously. The output of this light is great but what I like the most is the bulb does not cause the light dome to get hot. These little turtles belong to my 5 year old (ok...me until he is like 25) but I was worried he would grab the light fixture and burn himself (he does know better but I wouldn't put anything past a 6l5 year old boy and curiosity) Everything I have purchased so far for these little guys I have been very happy with! ... show more

  • So far so good
Style: UVB5.0 15W
I saw some complaints that it doesn’t last, well I haven’t had it long enough, I think. I have had it for a couple weeks, I use it just during the day. I have a green anole lizard that snuck into my home somehow. She was living on one plant and kind of staying there. I was feeding her 2 small crickets per day. Very tiny lizard, the smallest one I saw since these things started appearing in my yard and around the house. But she left the house at one point, then a few days later came in literally through my front door like a person, so I allowed it, and she found her way back upstairs to the same plant. But when she returned she wouldn’t eat any crickets, and was acting super afraid of me, when before she had started eating the cricket right out of the tongs I held. I was worried bc she seemed to be getting even tinier. I read these lights could help with appetite. Since I have no cage I bought a simple lamp screw thing with an on/off switch and screwed this light into an outlet that just happens to be by the plant she was living on. After about a week she just ate two huge crickets, and I’ve been seeing her out more getting sun and hanging around the light. ... show more

  • Great reptile light
Style: UVB10.0 23W
I use it for my tortoise. It's not too big (sometimes that's a problem, when the bulb is longer than the housing) and does what it should.

  • A lot of light in the delicious spectrum your terrarium requires
Style: UVB10.0 23W
This thing is huge! That aside, it gives great light, and my gecko likes basking in it.

  • Don't waste your money.
Style: UVB5.0 23W
I originally purchased 2 of these bulbs, one to use and one on hand for when first one goes out. I put the first bulb in and it only lasted a few hours. So I put the second bulb in and then requested a replacement bulb for the first one, thinking it was a fluke. The second one was in for a few hours as well and then wouldn't work again. I checked my lighting fixture and the bulbs did not exceed the limits in any way. So I then requested another replacement bulb for this bulb. When the first replacement bulb was delivered, I put it in the fixture and it almost made it through the whole day. I then received the second replacement bulb and put that one in and it lasted me only daylight hours of 3 days. So I went to request a refund of the replacement bulb. I now need to take all 4 bulbs back to the ups store to have them shipped back to Amazon. This was such a waste of my time and money. I have bought these bulbs before and had them last months. I don't know what is going on but I now had to go to the pet store and buy one for triple the price, hoping it will last longer. ... show more
