First off, the description of the width and length of the plane is correct, but the picture of the plane in the advertisement has a skewed perspective of looking bigger than it actually is. This plane takes quite some time to put together, and unless you have a genius child, they will not be building it you will. The video showing two small kids building this is just marketing fluff. You will need to manipulate some of the metal and bend some pieces to shape, and the instructions are not the most strait forward to follow. Putting some of the parts together and or sections of the plane take a little bit of figuring out, so if your good at putting things together you'll be ok, but if not, you're going to get frustrated. Its good as it is for a model if that is what you're looking for, if your kid is going to be playing with it, I question how long it will hold up. It is a light weight then metal frame, that is durable enough, but the metal can bend. Wheels are not meant to turn, and there are no lock washers at all used in the build so with continuous play, there is a good chance nuts will come loose and get lost. ... show more

It looks so much bigger in the picture. Everything is so tiny. I'm using tweezers to help put the nuts on because it's hard to get in between once you get going. I like to think I'm pretty handy with building and following instructions and I'm having a hard time at 40. I would not recommend this for a 6 year old. My son is 5 and loves tinkering with things. He hasn't helped once because it's "so small and too hard" according to him. My picture is half way though before I gave up lol it will eventually get built... ... show more

I bought this STEM Metal Building Construction Model kit as a gift for my non gifted average, smart grandson who loves building things. And he is very good at it. He was thrilled to receive it and eagerly began putting it together. Unfortunately, we found that the instructions were not clear enough, making it extremely difficult for my 10-year-old grandson to assemble. Even for an adult, the process was a challenge, and we were disappointed that the actual assembled truck was much smaller than it appeared in the picture. To make matters worse, the included tools were not up to par, and we found them to be inadequate for the task at hand. Overall, I cannot recommend this brand or version of the toy, as it did not live up to our expectations. The instructions were hard to read, the tools were not good, and the final product was much smaller than we had anticipated. While my grandson was excited to receive it, the difficulty in building it made the experience less enjoyable than we had hoped. ... show more

I thought the plane would be much bigger, however it’s about the size of a normal toy plane. The directions were advanced for kids to figure out independently. My 12 old nephew loved this but my 7 yr old struggled although typically these type of things are a breeze for him.
