I ordered about 15 of these shades in various sizes and installed them in 3 apartments which are rented by travel nurses. Responsible adults. Over half of the shades failed within 30 days. The portion of the shade with the chain seems to just fall apart.

The mounts for the shade can fit anywhere along the shade bracket and can just slide to the right spot…makes stud distance a non issue for installation, but I ordered something about 3 ft wide

Was a little nervous because of all the bad reviews. If you install properly (USE THE ANCHORS) they will not pull apart the first time you use them. DO NOT USE the "stick on" brackets. There is no reason anyone should even attempt that silly idea of hanging, plus all the brackets are plastic...da wha why??? USE the METAL clips, screw em in with the provided anchors and all will be ok. I got the 35" which fit nicely inside my 35.25" window however the actual shade is 33.25" so I ended up with just about an inch on either side. I guess that's to be expected when hanging "inside" the window frame. Not a huge deal but something to think about YOU MUST USE THEM GENTLY. Which is not hard to do. There's no reason to yank 'em the mech is actually pretty smooth, But I can see the plastic parts potentially coming apart if you're not careful. You get what you pay for with these. They're pretty cheap and if you're rough with 'em they will break. Mount 'em properly, keep 'em out of your kids room, use 'em gently and you'll be fine.

Tried these to do a double patio door. Hung 2. First, there is no way to get these to be less than 2” apart. The pictures they advertise show them with practically no space between them. I could live with this. What i can not live with is the cheapness of the materials. The plastice chains are of the lowest quality. I have had to jimmy rig these things to keep from popping all the time. The fabric, although it does block light, is flimsy and wrinkles/creases very easily. And due to the cheapness of everything else, i have lots of creases from it being left on the ground crumpled up, because the whole thing decides to unroll due to cheap chain and guide locks. I ordered another brand on amazon. Spent more but well worth it. Metal chains, quality hardware, thicker shade material. So i love this type of shade, would be weary of this brand, unless its for a single window that u do not plan on using ever.
