I bought this for my 9 year old. My spouse and I recently upgraded to a king size bed from a famous brand (let's call it a Schmurple mattress) and we gave our son our old queen size mattress from Ikea. At first, the kiddo loved having a giant bed to himself, but then he noticed how hard and uncomfortable the Ikea mattress was. He was appearing in our bed every night and I did NOT get a king size bed so I could have more people in it. I must have read a thousand mattress topper reviews trying to find something that was highly rated and not going to cost as much as a whole new mattress. I had pretty much settled on this one when it suddenly went on sale. I am so glad I bought it! My son loves it. It turned that crappy slab of queen sized concrete I gave him into a comfy bed. I no longer spend 30 minutes futilely helping him rearrange pillows every night, and it feels great on my back when I lay down next to him. In truth, I haven't slept a whole night on this mattress pad, but the fact that my kid is no longer in my bed every night proves it's worth every single penny. It "inflated" to full thickness in about an hour and I didn't see the need to let it sit out for a day. They say this depends on temp, elevation, and humidity when you open it. I live near Dallas, TX and it was probably 90 something degrees outside and over 75% humidity on the day the topper arrived. Both the topper and the mattress are inside a fully enclosed mattress protector. This was no easy feat but I'm not about to leave it unprotected on the bed of a 9 year old. He's never wet the bed, but he seems to have no control when nauseous. As far as I can tell, this hasn't hurt its plush-ness or affected the comfort. It did significantly reduce the lavender smell, which makes me a bit sad because I thought the scent was just right. My son's only complaint is that he can't jump on the bed anymore. It's an excellent shock absorber. TLDR: This topper salvaged my kid's uncomfortable bed so I don't have to make room for him in my bed anymore. 10/10.

I have always suffered with really bad insomnia. However at 63 I now have arthritis in my entire spine, shoulders, knee's ankles and feet. I have fibromyalgia. So I'm on pain a lot. In bed all my joints hurt severely especially pressure points like hips shoulders knees. Everything really. Muscle relaxers, ibuprofen Tylenol nothing helps. We've bought 3 beds in 5 years paying big buck and they all sucked. My doctor suggested an adjustable bed. Bought one 7 months ago. 5,000.00 still hurt just as bad. My mattress feels too dence and hard. I walked the floors all night because it hurts to be in bed. About 4-5 am I fall asleep for a couple hours. Can't afford to try another bed so tried this blue pad. When I took it out of the box I thought this isn't going to help at all. But was I wrong. I've used it for 4 nights. I'm not lying or exaggerating when I say I've not had a drop of hip, knee, back leg or shoulder pain why in the bed. I do have my usual muscle aches from the inflammation but not as bad as before. No pressure points pain that was severe just last week to the point I had to walk the floors. I get up in the morning and am not bent over with back and hip pain. I'm really hoping this lasts and the pad works for a while and doesn't pack down. But at this price if it lasts more than a couple months it's worth it I'll just order another. Now if in a month it is too flat or loses it's shape I'll be wanting my money back. At the price it's definitely worth a try. If this relief keeps up, I'll be a much happier and healthier person. Insomnia is really a bad thing for your health.

This is a great investment, I bought a cheap mattress after moving that I thought I could soldier through sleeping on, but it was too much for me. I bought this in the hopes of making it a little more tolerable but it far exceeded my expectations. Once I cut it out of the bag it puffed up very fast and was ready to sleep on within a couple of hours. It is both cushion-y and supportive, I don't really notice a difference between the different textures but overall it works great. I bought the lavender one and the smell is a little weird, it's not horrible but a weird mix of plastic and artificial lavender. It dissipated after a few days (or maybe I just got used to it) but if you are sensitive to smells I would opt for the unscented.

I received my order Aug 16th and I have just been letting air out and expand too. Today is Aug 17th, the foam smells like, and personally I don’t think the chemicals have that much of a strong smell to them, I just smell the lavender! I haven’t slept on this foam yet, but it seems very soft, and not medium firm, which is okay! If anything changes, like the sleep quality, or if starts to loose it’s shape, I’ll update! But I ordered the 3in mattress in lavender, but it hasn’t risen to 3in yet??? Does that usually happen? I’ll post my question in the question section, to see if anyone could comment and relate!

I’ve always been a lover of super soft beds. However, with my previous mattress topper, though it was extremely soft and comfortable, I would wake up sore every morning. I finally decided to try something different and ordered this. Price point is amazing especially for what you get. I got the 3 inch topper. It is slightly firmer than what I am used to but it was perfect for what I needed. It offers just enough support while still being cushiony. I no longer wake up throughout the night in pain. My shoulders and back don’t hurt all day anymore. I will update it if anything changes but after three nights sleeping on it I am so, so glad I bought it. And I know the smell won’t last, but the lavender scent is fantastic. Definitely recommend.
