PYou get what you pay for, I guess. We loved this mattress and it's firmness and the way it alleviated my lower back pain but after a year it started to form valleys despite rotating. There is such a hump in the middle we can hardly roll to the other side of the bed. If you buy this mattress understand that you're not buying a long term investment but that's what the price suggests so no surprise there. Also make sure that you have a proper flat solid bed base or frame. We should have put a large piece of plywood on top of our metal frame. After researching memory foam mattress I'v learned that improper base support can lead to deterioration. I guess we should also note that my husband and I are large people...He's 5'10 300lbs and I'm 5'3 190lbs. So there's that. Honestly, we still love the comfort of this mattress but we know it's only a matter of time before it needs to be replaced and my husband feels like the time is now. Update: We still love our mattress cause we recently purchased, invested in, a proper flat surface box frame and it's made a huge difference. It solved the hump in the middle problem almost immediately. If you want your memory foam mattress to last and perform properly make sure to get proper flat support!

Please read the whole review. I put this at one star so that you would read my experience . I didn't know what star to put for this. First off I received a brand new mattress that was stained. I decided to contact the manufacturer to see what they wanted to do. I was very discouraged to receive what I thought was a new product with stains. It makes me wonder what type of quality control they may have if they can package this from their Factory with stains. Who knows what the rest of the mattress looks like inside. So basically after contacting them they just blew me off and told me to contact Amazon. No nothing no help no offer to even give me a new cover which is removable to replace the stained one. So the moral to the story is be wary as they will not honor anything or offer to help in any way. On a good note I did contact Amazon and they were more than helpful. They had offered some solutions for me with plenty of options. I did not want to return the mattress and go through that hassle. Now they did offer to return it but I didn't think that would be feasible. So five stars for Amazon for being so accommodating. 1 star for lucid as they are not at all accommodating and do not care about what their product is like when it leaves their Factory. Reality of it all is if they don't care can you only wonder what actually is going on at the factory and that they have no quality control to send a mattress out of their Factory stained. Now for the mattress itself it is reasonably comfortable and I would not call it plush more to the medium range. It does work for us as we are both lighter people. We did not want a firm mattress. We'll see if it even gets softer with time but overall it works. My only concern is how long it will last based on my quality control concerns. Should I have any issues I am sure Lucid would be unwilling to honor any warranty so like I said buyer beware. Thanks to Amazon so making this purchase feel at least a little better. No thanks to Lucid for their terrible quality control and customer service.

Spent a lot of time reading reviews - Ended up going with this mattress.

Spent a lot of time reading and re-reading reviews on memory foam mattresses. It appeared to me that no one mattress really stood out in the ratings and satisfaction wasn't correlated to price. We had purchased a couple of Lucid brand mattresses for our sons when they were younger and they seem to hold up very well. Our previous foam mattress was what I would call medium/firm to firm. I was a little apprehensive about going with a plush mattress thinking it may be too soft. As we have gotten older my wife and I have transitioned into side sleepers, which is why I was considering a softer mattress. We've been sleeping on it now for about a week and have been pleased with the mattress. From my experience, I would compare it to a decent quality pillow top that you see in some hotels. The first few inches are pretty soft and have a lot of give, under this the bed gives a significant amount of support. If you are a stomach sleeper I'd look at a firmer mattress but for back and side sleepers I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Great Product - I would buy again - and I did

Long story and I'll try to keep it short. For reference, I've slept the last 8 years on a High-End Sealey Pocketed Coil King Size that I spent about $3K for, I am 6 foot and 250 Lbs. Recently I needed a temporary mattress and the Lucid (12in) popped up on a special buy at Walmart. I read the reviews and figured I would give it a go, I didn't have a lot to loose since it was temporary. I purchased the Full size, it arrived in a small box, sealed in a bag with all the air sucked out. It took about 2 hours for the mattress to expand to size. I dropped it on a Zinus frame instead of a box spring so I could utilize more under bed storage. I was shocked at the level of comfort, it beat my costly Sealy hands down, the wife and I both loved it. After a month we purchased the King size mattress and a King size Zinus frame from Amazon. Delivered in a slightly larger and heavier box. Setup was the same, although I needed help to get the mattress on the frame due to the size. I would rate this as semi-firm, you won't sink in right away when you lay on it, you sort of slowly sink in. I don't have a set sleeping pattern, I sleep on my back, side, and stomach, and ll of these positions are comfortable. The mattress is a little thick and my standard sheets pull off the corners on the king size so I would recommend deep pocket sheets. Lastly, I am typically a hot sleeper and I do not see any difference in temperature between this and my Coil Mattress. Pros: -Comfort -Price -Build Quality -Easy to move Cons: - Need deep pocket sheets (not really a con but they are more $$)
