Description

Durable and maintenance-free, Oakmont doors are a perfect choice for any room. They are crafted of energy-efficient, double wall vinyl panels with flexible vinyl hinges. Finish coated with scratch-resistant, clear UV varnish, The doors fit openings from 24″ to 36″ wide by 80″ high and trim easily to any height. Vinyl panels may be removed for door openings less than 36″ wide. You can also install Oakmont as a double door, using two single doors. From the Manufacturer The Oakmont folding door is crafted of energy efficient, double wall vinyl panels made with a safe non leaded vinyl formulation and have flexible hinges. Available in wood finishes with scratch- resistant, clear UV varnish coating. Door fits openings from 24 inch to 36 inch wide by 80 inch high and includes 36 inch of track. Track lubricant pack and all hardware included.

So easy to install, with nice clear directions. My husband and I did it together in about 20 minutes with zero problems. I could have done it on my own. Very hard, durable material, and looks nice. It's a functional door, not a decorative door though, so it's not like you would probably normally want it on your bedroom or something. We have it for our basement door. Before, with a regular swing door, our basement door and the outside door almost overlapped completely when opened, that's how small our space it. It made it so the doors didn't open all the way and we had to squeeze out the basement, close the door, then open the outside door. Not very handy when you're carrying a ladder or anything else you'd be likely to bring up from the basement! Now, thanks to this accordion door, all my frustration is gone! We can easily open out outside door and have a clear path outside. I am literally thankful for this door every day! It has made life so much easier. Pros: Fits well Well-made, durable material Slides smoothly along the track Easy to install Looks unassuming Great price Gives you space!!! Cons: All of these cons would be true of any accordion door. This is not meant to be a sealed airtight door. There's a small gap at the bottom (there needs to be so it can slide back and forth). Not beautiful (not ugly either, just know that by nature it's not as pretty as a real door). Not baby proof / child proof. Not as much privacy as a real door. If you want a locking door, you'd have to figure out your own system to put a lock on this door. Bottom line, If you have a tight space I cannot recommend this door highly enough. For the very modest amount of money that I paid to buy this folding "closet" door (I installed it in an actual in-house doorway to cut down on draftiness from an un-insulated adjoining room at my Mom's home that was built in the early 1900s), it is excellent, attractive, and was easy to install with the enclosed directions. I would use better screws than the ones that came with mine, if I were you. They are about an inch long, but the Phillips head screw tops are too weak to keep from stripping them when cinching down on them to mount the top hanger piece and the side channel pieces. So get about 15 to 20 better screws before you start the installation, and you should be quite satisfied with (and proud of) the result. (My Mom sure was.) I was in no hurry, and probably had it up and finished in less than an hour. Some other reviewers had complained about the boxed door being damaged when they received it. Mine was well packed and had cushioning at the top and bottom ends of the packed folding door, and was in perfect condition, with no parts missing. ... show more

The door itself was decent quality for a vinyl door, the track was plastic and I was worried it wouldn't be strong enough or would crack during installation but it didn't. It was very easy to install except the oil that you put on the rollers, that was hard to squeeze out. You'll need that for friction in sure since the rollers don't actually roll. I needed this type of door for a space that had no room for a normal door. It opens and closes nicely and the magnets hold tight. My opening was 4 feet wide by 79in tall and it fit perfectly with just under an inch and a half at the bottom from the floor. 4.5 starts because the tracking could be metal. ... show more

Perfect!! I used this to replace a bathroom door in a travel trailer (which was really impeding on the walking space) It was easy to hang, fit perfectly (top bracket and all) in the 80' door height. The color is wonderful and the door well made. Note to RVers - Your roof is probably not sturdy enough to support this, determined as I was, I added a piece of metal snug across the top, resting on both wall sides, which gave the support needed. Tried to capture that in a photo, but lighting in an RV is less than desired. Hopefully you can see the metal 'L' strip at the top. It did take two of us to install and power tools are wonderful! Overall, I give this a big Yes! for replacing those ugly space hogging doors in RV's!! ... show more

This is such a nice product and worked perfect for a shower door for a camper conversion. The vinyl faux "aluminum" look is absolutely incredible...hard to tell at first it's vinyl and not aluminum. I was dismayed at first that the included instructions were strangely in Spanish only, but when I went to LTL's website, I found some of the best video instructions I've ever encountered. LTL should highlight that fact in their Amazon product description. A note on cutting the length...instead of using a hack saw as shown in the videos, you can quickly and cleanly make your cut using a power miter saw, providing your blade is relatively sharp. I had to cut about five inches off the bottom, so I tested first by cutting about an inch off to make sure it was a clean cut. (See photo) ... show more
