Easy to install. I wouldn’t recommend this door for a busy home. It’s not sturdy enough for heavy use. Instructions could be improved. Font is very small. Doesn’t explain about adjusting the width. I figured it out. I needed to remove a couple panels, but made the mistake of removing one of the edge reenforcement panels and had to put that back. My issue is the plastic composite material of the door. Everything dents or mars the material easily. I would like to darken the color, but have not figured out what medium would adhere well to the plastic. Let’s see how well the door holds up. ... show more

I read through the reviews and this door had high ratings for a 28 x 80 doorway. The installation could be challenging, so be patient and take your time, especially with cutting. We had to refer to the video, which was helpful and gave a different perspective than the written instructions. We really like this door, the oak color blends in really well, it’s easy to open and is sturdy. The video shows a magnet, however this is not part of the hardware. To close you have pull it slightly harder for the door to remain closed. I’ll consider buying a magnet. Overall it is a great door for a tight space. ... show more

Bought this for use on a closet but ended up using it at the bottom of the stairs to separate two cats that seem to absolutely hate each other. We have tongue and groove walls and ceilings in our entire first floor so I tried to match that as best as I could. It's pretty good at a quick glance but if you really look at it it's definitely a different tone but thats OK, I bought it with the idea that I may have to paint it if it didn't match anyway. It could be a little longer but I didn't really measure this space out since I didn't buy this with the intentions of putting it here... but I noticed on the box it comes with a longer size so I'm hoping I can find that somewhere and re-use the track I already put up. I'm giving this 4 stars because it doesn't come with a magnet like the video suggests. It has a cheap plastic clip that forces into a channel which is how it "locks". One of my cats has figured out that if he pushes on the door in the middle it will just pop right open. SO I am going to be looking for magnet strips I can put in place of that cheapo plastic piece ( that seems like it will be the first place to break). ... show more

I bought this to put a door in a doorway. I was able to install it myself with no help, but I am handy that way. I did not enjoy having to hacksaw the bottom of the door to fit the doorway. It took me a few tries and in the end I cut off too much so there is a gap beneath the door. Oh well! Everything else went smoothly and I love my door. The cats can open it, which is good because they need to be able to come and go at their leisure. I cut out letters to spell "private" and put them on the panels on the outside of the door, so that when it's closed it says PRIVATE and when it's open it says nothing. The door opens and closes smoothly, and gives me the privacy I need when I need it. ... show more
