I was having a problem in what to install as a door in a 1972 house that I was remodeling. Nothing was coming hand to replace the old and damaged doors previously installed on that laundry area. I found many 80" high doors but nothing 96" high with is the height of that laundry area. Miraculously I found this fantastic replacement which helped me to get that issue resolved and also the color matched what I was needing. At the time to install I had to cut it 2" smaller and it is very easy to do and very easy to reassemble. I only needed one screw driver, a hacksaw and a sandpaper to remove the burs. Also I had a very good help from the costumer service in helping in how to do get it shortened. Installation was very easy and it works great. I recommend it to others. ... show more

Honestly I have never ordered or used anything like this, but this far exceeded expectations for the money. First off the metal is solid, Its not cheaply made at all. Installing was honestly a breeze, I dont have a good drill at all and this was not issue. The only problem I ran into (and why I dropped that one part to 4 stars) was the end piece did not have clear instructions. But the magnets are strong, My littles cant even pull it open (which was kinda the point) and it glides so well. If I ever need another door like this one, I will buy this one again. ... show more

I bought one 48 x 96 for a closet and two of the 36 x 96 for a larger closet. The closures, it was explained, are magnets for the longer doors. This worked OK for the 48 inch door. For the 72 inch opening, however, the bottom magnet closure does not close when you close the doors. I think this is because the doors just fit and the magnet is not strong enough. I also had to pry the magnet out of the door to take the magnet piece apart to get the magnet parts properly aligned so they come out of their slots. The magnet needs to be designed better and be stronger. ... show more

top of door had a crack in it; needed a magnet to hold door shut, I will have to get my own since this defeats the purpose. Easy to install otherwise and seems sturdy

I got this in the hopes to stop my cats from going into the kitchen. I brought another one from the same company, both are slightly different designs (for me the differences are noticeable and bother me). I ignored the difference and cut them to the size of doorway I needed, which wasn't easy (had to find someone with a hacksaw, then cutting it even was hard). The end result was uneven, but I said oh well, installed both doors (instructions aren't great, took me 2 days by myself to do). Unfortunately, my cats (less than 1yr old, ~7lbs) are smart & the magnets on the doors are weak. They are able to push the doors enough to get the lower magnet to open. Also, the magnets keep falling out of there doors. Overall, not happy and will have to go to something more solid for my issues. ... show more

The door is well made and easy to install. The only suggestions I have are to update the instructions to make it clear that you have to drill holes to install the striker plates and consider lowering the handle. I got the 48" x 96" door and the handle is unusually high. I installed the door between the garage bay I use for a wood shop and the rest of the garage to keep dust off the cars. ... show more
