For those who believe that hoisting a 500 lb motor by the heads is unethical, this tool will put your mind at ease. I was shocked at by the perfect fit and quality finish for such a reasonable price. Instead of messing with a load-leveling contraption - mine is awkward, homemade and years old - one can just bolt-up this plate in place of the valley pan. Connect your cherry picker's hook to just one eyelet and you're up and away. Stays perfectly level. The kit even comes with "real," 10.9 hardness hardware - not that you need that - and they even threw in an extra bolt for good measure.

I'm not even sure where else to buy one of these but this is a good deal considering what it is. I've used mine about 9x and so far I haven't experienced any issues. It's solid made (doesn't work on l86 engines), you install it the same as you'd install a valley cover. So, easy to install and a good deal for the money.

Makes lifting an LS super easy. Who needs an engine leveler when youve got THIS!!! no but seriously though. My engine hosts leveler hasn't seen any action since I bought this tool.

Welds looked okay to me. I wish the hardware had a threaded hole to hold them when not in use, but otherwise it works as advertised.

Bolts directly to the heads to lift an 5.3 LS motor out. Has holes to store the bolts when not it use, but they are too large and the bolts fall out. If the plate was threaded it would be a better design. Good welds and nice powder coat on it. Reae valley needs a little material added to completly block off the open valley section.
