Building the bunk bed wasn't as intuitive as it seemed, wasn't awful but was alright and able to get it done within a day. Zero stars. I assembled the bed to surprise my son. A regular twin mattress didn’t fit and forced the bottom support slats out. When I used a cheaper thinner mattress I thought it was okay but my son was laying on it and the bottom gave out causing him to bump his head and hit the floor. The product is poorly designed and unsafe. I’m not sure if mine was defective or what but don’t chance it. I had a false sense of security thinking it was the mattress but I believe over time if not immediately the bed will break and your child will get injured. Don’t chance it ... show more

I received this with no assembly instructions, no fasteners and couldn't get the manufacturer to help so I had to get it refunded. The box was open and damaged. This would have made a great bed for my son. Amazon is great, but now I have a bunch of hardware and no bed... it will take another month to get one here. ... show more
