I got this crate for my smaller husky because I liked the idea of having a crate that could double as a piece of furniture. Assembly was tedious, with lots of small parts, but not difficult. It took about an hour or so working at a reasonable pace. Instructions were easy to follow, although I did find one minor issue with one of the steps. The quality of the product is very good. It does not have a cheap feel to it and is pretty sturdy once assembled. The doors have a fair amount of give when locked, so an aggressive dog could break out. So far, my little husky has not tried to break out, but we have not left her in it for any real amount of time. She does enjoy going in there on her own to chew bones or take a nap. The bottom pad is very thin and sits on top of a chicken wire-like base that is raised an inch or so off the ground. I will probably try to find something with a bit more padding, but the interior size is not standard crate size. Overall pleased with this very attractive dog crate. I am concerned about its ability to contain my dog if she really wants to get out.

The media could not be loaded. This product is big and heavy and came completely damaged and unsalvageable. I cannot physically carry the box down the stairs to return it and i’m left with an unsalvageable crate.

Instructions are lacking so make sure to have someone else there to help put this together. It is not real wood in places so screws if not put in carefully come right out. If dogs don't like crates are escape artist this might not be the create for you. We can only use this on one pup that is ok with being locked in a create at this moment. It's always a good idea to review comments, suggestions, pros/cons and carefully consider your needs before making a purchase. It looks amazing! Just like a piece of furniture. Assembly will take about an hour and a half - and for the sake of your sanity, forget about the included Allen wrench. You're going to need a flexible shaft screwdriver (assembly angles are practically impossible with a straight shaft) with a few different sized Phillips bits (to fit the different sized screw heads) and you most certainly want to use that flexible shaft tool on the Allen head screws that hold in the wire mesh floor. The included Allen wrench will give you about 1/4 turn per use due to it's size and the configuration/location of the nut inserts in relation to the geometry of the parts that are being attached - it would take more hours than would be reasonable. You'll need at least an 8' square area to assemble this crate, so move that coffee table or do the assembly in a utility room as I did. Every piece - there are many - are clearly labeled and the assembly drawings/diagrams are accurate and easy enough to follow. If you've ever assembled any furniture that utilizes Cam Locks, you'll have no trouble. You'll find that this is a very sturdy crate when you complete the assembly. My dog seems to enjoy the very generous space of this crate - he could probably have a companion in there with him (He's a Daschund, about 35 pounds) If you're looking for a very nice looking crate that looks great next to your other home furnishings, this should be your choice. It is quite visually appealing - and very functional with multiple paths of egress and a hinged, locking lid for you to access the interior without letting your little buddy out accidentally. My wife and I love it! I wished it were slightly easier to assemble though! If you're not good with hand tools or figuring things out - get some help, because you'll need it.

So I got this for my pup so he would have a crate that would match the house a bit more than his wire crate. It was pretty easy to put together. I did have to re-do the hinges on one door because they were upside down but that was my own fault. Everything needed to put it together was included. The instructions were fairly clear and the pictures were easy to follow. I got it put together in probably an hour and a half if I take out all the interruptions. I liked that there was some extra hardware included just in case as well. Things like screws. I am not really crazy about the wire bottom of the crate. A pad is included but if my pup moved that around then he can get his toes or nails stuck. So I ended up adding a larger thicker mat that was bigger so it goes up the sides a tad. It just keeps him from moving it around. It was also a bit smaller inside than I was hoping. I have a lab pup and it fits him ok right now, but I’m not sure about when he gets older. Although since the doors come off he could always come in and out as he pleases. That is one feature I really like. It’s so easy to take the three side doors off and put them back on. I’m not sure what I think about the top. I like that I can set stuff on the top. But you can only do that on half. The other half has bars and lifts up. I think the hatch on half the top is a good idea. You could have your pup in with the three side doors closed, and still be apple to pet or set food or water in without them escaping or making it difficult. Over all this is a very nice crate. It is wood except the bars so I’d caution anyone that has a dog that will chew. But it’s a good quality and very nice. I feel like it might be a bit more on the spendy side for the size you get, but that’s just me.
