Now THIS is a nice ladder. it feels tough. It looks tough. It IS tough. I made the old one last so long I was using pop rivets to hold the legs on. I only fell off it a couple of times when the legs gave out. So... for the sake of my neck, I bit the bullet and ordered this baby. NICE! I think I'll marry it. I love it. Comfortable to stand on the steps. Easy to fold when moving it. The paint shelf folds out and in when you close and open the ladder, almost like it was made to do that. Ohh, it WAS. Cool. I'm not used to stuff that nice I guess. There are small holes at the top to hold those tools that you juggle when you are at the top of the ladder. And it has a neat magnet built into the top that hangs onto those loose screws and washers that you will need. The feet are sturdy and wide enough to actually support the ladder on dirt, and they prevent marring the wood floor in the Kitchen. You know that can bring trouble in Paradise real fast when you mess up that oak finish, eh? Been there, Jack. This ladder does not feel like I am pushing it to its limit if I am working near the top. For an old dude, I feel like I am in control. I like that. I don't have control in the Kitchen any more. You cannot go wrong with this ladder. ... show more

  • Super cheap, without being particularly inexpensive
Oh boy. While I'd normally head to the hardware store to get a ladder, pandemic limitations had me scramble to get one online. While I was definitely shopping based on price, I wasn't really ready for what I got with the Louisville Ladder AS2106. I have other ladders... both aluminum and fiberglass, but they weren't where I was, and it wasn't practical to bring mine. How bad could a cheap ladder be? Well, the first thing that threw me off was the price. The AS2106 is about $10 more (online, anyway) than what I'd expect to pay for the "cheapest" ladder. If I'd bothered to think about it, I would have realized that difference was about the cost of shipping (because "free" or not, it's figured into the cost somehow). What you get with the Louisville Ladder AS2106 is a SUPER lightweight ladder. While a 15 pound ladder is a plus from the standpoint of maneuverability, it's not particularly stable. The step side of the ladder seems strong enough, but the spreaders are very flimsy. They also stick. These problems compound, though, as the spreaders will twist into a snarled mess if you aren't paying close attention. I recommend lubricating the hinged points of the spreaders with some lithium grease (it helps quite a bit). As an added bonus, the steps are incredibly shallow. I have size 11 feet (pretty average), and the steps feel more like tubular rungs. Ew. Buying things online is great... usually. In cases like this ladder, though, I don't know who would buy this if they saw it in person. I know I would step up (ha) to the next quality tier, even though I was cost sensitive with this purchase. The durability of this ladder is horrible, but may be fine for the person that expects to use it sparingly for changing smoke detector batteries, or putting a star on the top of a Christmas tree. Look elsewhere - even Louisville Ladder makes much better ladders (like the FS1506). Not recommended. ❤️ If you found my review helpful, please let Amazon know by clicking the helpful button below ... show more

  • Great Purchase!
I needed a ladder but didn’t want to pay an exorbitant amount of money. After all, I just needed to change an occasional light bulb or paint a now-and-then-living-room. I could not be happier with this purchase. I almost passed over it because of bad reviews but I figured if it were not a great purchase it wouldn’t be a big deal since I didn't need it so much. I was pleasantly surprised. It’s sturdy, maneuverable, light weight and the work trays are perfect. I’m not an expert on ladders, but in my humble opinion, this one is great! ... show more

  • Easy to maneuver, set up & put away and
Easy to maneuver, set up & put away and I don't have a lot of upper arm strength which is why I selected this one. I needed to be able to get up to a/c return in my 12' ceilings and into my longer term storage cabinets above my office closets. I store very heavy boxes in these cabinets and I am comfortable with sturdiness going up high with hands full. Perfect. ... show more

  • Nice lightweight sturdy ladder with tool trays. Good Price, Not Wrapped for Shipping
Nice lightweight sturdy ladder with tool trays. Arrived the same workweek ordered - prompt shipping. No cardboard at all on this ladder so it was filthy until I cleaned with couple damp rags. At least one big permanent looking black smudge on side of tool tray and at least one slightly bowed, bent brace rung. Tool tray has large bend in front side at top, unlike the other Louisville ladder I have. May be bent. I think the tool tray and magnet are superior features for painting, basic carpentry work, etc. & I like a lightweight ladder for most stuff. How much would a piece or 2 of cardboard taped around it cost? Couple dollars? Would be worth it and maybe just wrap it in cheap plastic. The ladder is a ten, the condition of shipping is a 1. It only had a piece of plastic tape around the bottom. ... show more

  • Light, but quite flimsy. Like it though.
Nice and light, but pay attention when climbing it. If you lean back your going over.

  • It is a ladder, it does its one job.
It is a decent ladder. Very lightweight which makes it easy to move around but it's hard to close back up without banging on the support hinges.

  • Great to have ladder delivered 👍
I like the ladder but it's not too easy to open. However that could be user error...otherwise great so far
