From the Manufacturer A 6-foot extra heavy duty fiberglass stepladder with a 375 pounds capacity now features Louisville exclusive “Pro Top” designed with innovative features to improve the user’s performance when working electrical, utility, heavy construction, and residential jobs. Pro top includes a magnet tray, hardware tray, curved ergonomic front, drill and tool slots, paint bucket holder, and a pipe or 2x4 holder to increase productivity. This ladder includes a “DA” boot, shock absorbing, thick, slip resistant, rubber shoe. Double rivet step construction, each step secured with six large headed, semi-tubular steel rivets for maximum strength. 30 percent greater shear strength than solid aluminum rivets. Heavy duty reinforcement plates, nonconductive full channel rails are covered with a polyester veil for years of service without fiber prominence or blooming when prolonged exposure to elements is necessary. Extra heavy duty inside spreader braces, extra thick spreader braces located inside of fiberglass rails help protect braces from getting hooked or abused in transit.

A solid ladder. A bit heavier than the aluminum ladder it replaces but then, it doesn’t seem like it will bend and break like the lighter one it replaces did. Still, if you are just going to be doing interior painting and changing light bulbs and thus don’t need the strength you might consider a lighter ladder that will be easier to handle. One of the aluminum lock-arms that keeps the ladder from folding when standing is a bit stiff, but other than being mildly annoying it’s not a problem. The ladder is very sturdy and well constructed, and other than noted I haven’t found any quality flaws. Since others have commented on nicks and scratches on the ladders they received, I will say that I had a few very small marks on mine, which would not have stopped me from choosing it at a store. Mine arrived at my door in a simple cardboard box with no elaborate packing. I must comment that I enjoyed the fact that it arrived at my door. That was much less hassle than going to a store and trying to get the ladder home in my car would have been. ... show more

When it comes to ladders I never go cheap. Retired after 45 yrs. in construction I appreciate the extra safety and stability of a higher rated ladder. I only weigh 180 lbs but this 375 lb rated ladder is definitely not over kill. You can get up on a type 3 ladder and say "This feels ok. It'll do the job." Then you get on a type 2 and you can feel the difference. And then go up to type 1 and the difference in stability stands out. Value your safety. Don't go cheap on ladders. I am a big guy, this ladder is built solid! I am 69 years old and a retired local 3 IBEW member! I have been on a lot of ladders in my life, but this is the best I ever stood on! It was shipped in a big cardboard box! UPS, Very happy I purchased this ladder!

In line with many other reviews, I was extremely disappointed with the way the ladder came given its high price. It had the UPS tag attached to the ladder itself, no box whatsoever. Dusty and steps and sides look scratched with random plastic/tape chipping off. It definitely looks like it was either used, or was worn significantly during shipping since there was no box. However, it's not damaged otherwise and appears sturdy. Hence, it will still serve its purpose as a work ladder, so not worth the pain of trying to replace. If you want a new and not used ladder, though, look elsewhere. ... show more
