Frequently asked questions

The Losi King Shocks Ford Raptor Baja Rey requires a LiPo (Lithium Polymer) or NiMH (Nickel-Metal Hydride) battery compatible with a 1/10 scale vehicle. Since the truck is sold without a battery and charger, you'll need to purchase them separately, ensuring they match the truck's specifications for voltage and connector type.

The Losi King Shocks Ford Raptor Baja Rey is labeled as 'RTR' (Ready-To-Run), which means that it comes pre-assembled with the motor, transmitter, and receiver installed. However, you'll need to separately purchase a battery and charger, as they are not included with the truck.

Yes, the Losi King Shocks Ford Raptor Baja Rey is designed for off-road use. It is equipped with 4 wheel drive and has high-performance shocks and suspension, making it capable of handling rough terrain. It's important to note, however, that while it's built to withstand off-road conditions, maintenance and cleaning after use will help prolong its lifespan and performance.

The Losi King Shocks Ford Raptor Baja Rey stands out due to its officially licensed Ford Raptor body, King Shocks livery, and its realistic off-road capabilities. Its brushless motor setup provides high-speed performance, and its robust 4 wheel drive system allows for superior handling on various terrains. 🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The RC Truck is highly regarded for its appearance and performance, providing a very realistic and authentic off-road experience. Some users have been so impressed by the truck's durability and quality that they consider it close to being indestructible, even when used extensively and roughly. However, it is not without its flaws, with some customers noting issues such as the truck's top-heavy nature, susceptibility to easy flipping on certain surfaces, and issues with parts like the shocks and tires.

Pros

  • 👌 Realistic off-road experience
  • 👍 Durable and high-quality build
  • 🚀 Handles well on dirt tracks with a solid landing
  • 💡 Comes with bright LED lights
  • 🌟 Receives a lot of compliments on its look

Cons

  • ⚠️ Tends to flip easily on cement or asphalt
  • ⏰ Requires extra parts and adjustments to improve performance
  • 💪 Some parts, like the tires and shocks, have a tendency to break or blow out
  • 💸 Some report of needing to replace or upgrade parts for better experience, which could be costly and time-consuming

Should I Buy It?

If you are a fan of off-road RC vehicles who likes to tinker with parts and doesn't mind some investment in upgrades and replacements, this RC truck would likely be a good fit for you. Furthermore, its realistic off-roading and superior handling make it a fun and fulfilling purchase. However, if you're looking for something ready to go out of the box with no necessary improvements, this may not be the best option.

  • jUsT like the real deal!!!

This is super super cool and very true to real life. My husband used to build trophy trucks for Robby Gordon and has bad around the real thing for many years. He was impressed that a lot of the details are true to life trucks: How it drives, how it handles and how it stops. Tires get real big in the front when he goes fast and this thing boogies!! My husband appreciates quality and details, this was PeRFECt! Neighbors love when he breaks it out! ... show more

  • Best looking RC Truck
Style: King Shocks
I finally made the jump about a year ago from a toy RC to the real deal. I chose this truck because I love off road vehicles and this RC looks exactly like a Trophy Truck. Plus it has the best suspension in my opinion. Im very happy with my purchase, but there are little things I learned along the way that cost me money and time. Truck is top heavy and flips easily on cement or asphalt. This clearly caused the body to crack and break. Do yourself a favor and reinforce the body prior. Youll notice I had to cut off the fenders because they broke and rubbed on tire. To drive outside of dirt tracks I suggest buying street tires, the ones I purchased were slicker and low profile so it allowed the car to drift on turns instead of flipping. You can see them in the pictures included. The car has 2 metal chasis that can bend easily on a hard crash. This will cause the car to pull to which ever side it bent. Chasis is about $50, but you have to take the whole car apart to replace. Picture included. I upgraded my rear shocks to Pro lines and kept my shock shocks as a second option without the springs. This has really helped on big jumps. I also upgraded my A arms and rear suspension parts to blue aluminum. Mostly for estetic purposes, but I havent had any issues with them. These are just minor things that i discovered over time. Not a bad thing, just things I hope will help the next buyer. On the plus side, it handles amazing on dirt tracks. The suspension helps land the truck very solid. Comes with very bright front LED Bar and rear light. Has 2 extra connections for additional lights and/or accessories. The remote that comes with it helps allign its driving and has a great range. Plus everyone compliments how cool it looks. Definately a scale trophy truck. ... show more

  • Higher quality than others around this price
Style: Black Rhino
Ok Amazon solved the issue I had so I'll give this the review it deserves...Plus I got plenty of drive time with it now...Love it...Just something about the way it glides over terrain feels good...I have a Typhon and a Hoss but the Losi is more satisfying...Its not as easy to work on as an Arrma but still its more fun to fix/upgrade...Only break I had so far is the front bumper...I do drive rough and take it through giant mud puddles and it takes it fine...Its not a basher out of the box but after some RPM arms and front bumper I would say it is ... show more

  • I beat the heck out of this thing
Style: King Shocks
I drive semis cross country and was looking for something to mess with on my off time and am very happy with my purchase. I've had this for a but over two months and I thrash it hard with almost no problems. Worse thing was the glue started to come off the rear tires but with some super glue it was fine. I did break the from bumper off pretty quickly but still works, replacements are less than $20. As far as battery life that just depends on what batteries you run, I run 2s and I get about 15 to 35 minutes per battery depending on how hard I'm running and what setting the throttle is on (50/75/100). Keep in mind you do have to supply your own battery and charger but this isn't uncommon in the rc world. Out of all my rcs this one by far is my favorite! ... show more

  • This this is near indestructible super fast.
Style: Black Rhino
I have been running this truck HARD for months and it's insane. Near indescribable I do stunts with it endo flips and rolls in practice. Outside of the weak front bumpers and blowing out tires it's never broken a part. It spins the tires so fast with so much torch they will fold up and blow a chunk out of the center if you get silly. Camera will mount plug and play as well. I want another for my son. Lolol. ... show more

  • Good rc bad quality.
Style: King Shocks
Box came a little beat up (that shouldve been the first red flag) but it ran amazing, then i took it to rhe dirt for some scale driving. Not even through the first whoop BOTH and i MEAN BOTH rear shocks blew out unuseable now, The RC itself isnt trash. $670 well spent, just wish losi would make some better quality rear shocks ... show more
